MRHP, they were going for something repeatable by the common man with common tools. I don't know too many who can zap aluminum that thin!!

Necessity is truly the "Mother Of Invention" !!
Great Job ! The field I fly at is having all kinds of noise issues too, this is definitely a growing problem and making a quieter "Quiet Pipe" is definitely needed, I made one this weekend from galvanized steel and baffled it too it weighs around 6 oz., I will be checking it this week. By the way I used the DuraFix aluminum welding rods for the first time and it works very well just using a hand torch. Are these Bud cans sold here in Ohio ? I haven't seen them yet. |

All I want to know is when do you check the figures? before or after the beer is consumed!!!!!!
I wish someone woludl have told me "BUD" was getting into the muffler business !!! Interesting marketing tool !! Fill MUFFLER WITH BEER then market to RC flyers!! Yeah thats the ticket!!!! I guess we'll just have to start selling "BEER MUFFLERS" Look for them in your local convience store.

Just thought I would post about the Bud exhaust. I did them early this spring on an M&R-100 and a TOC Yak 54 33%. I have a lot of flight's on it now with no problems at all. The engine performance is better also with a top end 400 RPM gain. The exhaust is quiter also with a mellow mechanical sound..sort of like a nice 396 chevy..lol. I really enjoyed building and flying these "canister's". I have a DA-100 on a QQ 102 Yak with canister's and the Bud's sound better to me. The price is right also and you get to drink the beer. I've posted picture's " Bud Beer Bottle Exhaust. Check em out. I tried Bud Select also, they work too!!!
