What Vess prop would be good for a Brison 3.2 on a Great planes Pitts? Also a Brison 3.2 on a Dave Patrick Extra.

Thanks,
Jon

Hey Guys,
I just tried a Vess 22a on my BME Yak54 with a DA50,KS Header and Canister. All I can say is forget about your Mejzlik and your Menzs props. This pulls it out of a hover soooo much better. And it's very quite..Let's see spend $60 for a Carbon Fiber or $28 for a Vess?
Try a Vess prop you won't be dissapointed!!!
Frank

I ordered a Vess 22B for my Taurus 3.2 and my Brison 3.2. The 22B and the Taurus are on my 16.5 pound Wild Hare Edge. This prop is perfect for this type of set-up. It turned within a hundred rpm of my NX 22x8 on the ground. It turned in the 6450 rpm range, which is good for this engine. This is where the similarities end. It spools up faster, transition seems better, (I don't know how.) and the prop doesn't rip, it's QUIET! It sounds as if you put on a quieter muffler. The difference is amazing. It doesn't give up performance to be quiet. Vertical pullouts are great.

This week I plan to maiden my new Wildhare Extra 300 with a Brison 3.2 and a Vess 22B. This plane weighs in at 15 pounds, 12 ounces. I'll report abut the Brison next week.

All in all, it's a great prop at a competitive price.

Just received my Vess 22B. Looks awesome I will be testing it out on my Ultimate with DA50 on slimline pitts muffler. I'll do a comparison to the bolly wood 22x8 I am using now.

Prop is balance and fitted ready to test out. Didn't need much in the way of balancing, was pretty close out of the packet.

I took the Ultimate out this morning to give the Vess a run. I had two flights before the weather went sour, and I must say I am very impressed. I didn't even need to adjust the needles. Tached it on the ground 6600rpm compared to the bolly at 6850rpm. The model seemed to fly a touch faster and accleration out of slow manuevres was excellent. The verticle pull is awesome and the downline breaking is just as good. I was getting the big wooosh noise at the bottom end of my down lines. Sounded cool. I also tried to get the prop to bark and it wouldn't. Low and fast upwind and downwind passes at full noise, still no bark. Even general flying sounded quieter than the bolly. I didn't do much 3D stuff as the weather was not all that good. I did do a few hovers and I was using less throttle than with the bolly to hold the hover and verticle climb out was faster. Overall I am very happy with the Vess especially the downline braking, which was the main reason for the change.
