Well, our gracious hobby industry continues to support this important cause by sending raflle prize donations. Al Young of JTEC/Radiowave has just contacted me to announce that he's providing five $100 gift certificates for their mufflers. They have a wide assortment of shapes/sizes (www.jtecrc.com) and want to give the winners the opportunity to choose the design that's right for them. They also do custom muffler work and that's hard to find! Al and son Kevin are likely to be attending the event, so be sure to show your appreciation to them and all our sponsors when you see them. They also tell me that they hope to pull Gerald Neel away from his Don Lowe Masters practice long enough to join us for some flying on Saturday....GREAT!

Have you bought your raffle tickets yet? See www.rd-rc.org to order them or buy them at the event.

There's only a few days left to get in on the raffle, and the huge list of prizes is growing and growing. You can see the list and buy tickets online at:
http://www.scootworks.com/cart/shop/shoprdrc.htm
You don't have to worry about waiting for the tickets to arrive to you via mail before the fund raising event on Sept 23-24, as we log the ticket numbers and will contact everyone who wins. Raffle winners will also be posted online immediately after the drawings. The list of goodies is unreal, pop over to the link above and have a look. It's cheap to get in on it, and ALL proceeds (every penny!) go directly to the kids at 'Smiles for Little Faces'. We raised over $5000 last year, and should be able to rock and roll this year, considering the sponsorship and support from the R/C Industry we'bve had this year. Please help us help the kids with your participation in this event.

OK, there's only five more work days until the big event. The field is looking great, the sponsors have come through with thousands of dollars in support, the general public has been showing great interest via all of our advertising efforts, and judging from the info requests and verbal committments, the pilots will be there in huge numbers. So this is going to be the BIG one in NC. Don's miss it and certainly don't miss out on the opportunity to win one or more of the valuable raffle and pilot prizes! See www.rd-rc.org for all of the details.

We can't wait to see everybody there......

Steve C- No you are not nuts, i think Dave meant that (the days leading to the event). trust me we will be selling them at the event as well. Plus, online may be the timely issue. We had a crown at the field yesterday and we were making some final arrangement and layout of the parking lot and placement for tents and vehicles and such. But before all of that, we had to get in some "huckin time!"

See you all there this weekend should be a blast and the weather knock knock, is looking favorable.
Anthony

Couple of folks are talking about setting up Thursday, but most Friday. We did the grass cutting in the camp area today, so it's ready.
