Smokey, are you looking for a flight report or info on the plane? I finally got everything to finish mine. Going to mount the engine on mine tomorrow after work and the build is going well, quality is like the rest of AMs planes. Ill try to post some pictures of the build. Brian

I was looking for a build report first and hopefully a flight report. Very interested if it will come out to the advertised weight of 25lbs.

First impressions........fly's like an arrow. Still need to explore it's 3D envelope this weekend in greater detail. I will have alot more to add after this next weekend and better video of 3D flying. Flying weight is 27lbs and that is with a DA-100, Mens-S 28x10, Seiko servo, Smoke system, 2 4800 fromeco batteries, 1 2400 fromeco on ignition and Powerbox. I have a CF wing tube and also hace CF main gear on the way too so that will take off a few ounces.

Very nice Ken. Do you have pictures of your installation? How much extra is it to get the custom scheme?

YAB......It knife edges very well! My first try I went hand off on the right stick and just flew it with just throttle and rudder. The coupling is so small im not sure if it even warrants any mixing.

The only thing that is a bitch about this plane is the wing tube is soooo tight. I have been working it trying to get it to loosen enough where I can get the wings on by myself. Just need to wear in I guess....

Ken, I'm very happy to see you are enjoying the plane. If anyone can wring it out it's you
I like the scheme you came up with. When I flew this plane in China it was awesome how light the plane fly's. The wing socket is molded around a pipe, so you need to take a monokote roll and wrap some sandpaper around it. Just do a light scuff to get the mold release wax off the fiberglass and you will be good to go. Hopefully we meet up sometime soon so I can watch you tear the sky up! Garrett Morrison |

What do you have to do to get a custom scheme? Is there a blank katana template that we can modify?

Garrett....thanks for the info on freeing up the wing tube! I will try that out tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you fly again in person also
. Thanks for the compliment on the colors too. Smokey.....mabe you can mod this? Basically you just need to talk with Sammy and tell him what you wanna do and he will get his graphic designer to draw it up. Or......send him something you draw up and he will verify that he has the colors you want and go from there.
