Regarding post counts

Hi Crew. I wanted to give you a heads up to a little "blow it" that I made yesterday while working on this. I accidentally ran a database procedure that re-counted all of the posts on a separate project. The procedure reset _everybody's_ post count to zero. Nice. Anyways, I re-ran the process, and quickly realized something that has been broken for the past 4 months... Whenever a member voted on a video, the member's post count would increment by one. When the re-calculation took place, voting counts were eliminated from the total count. Realistically, those numbers probably should have never been calculated in the first place as they are not posts per se. Where it stands right now, some of you have seen a decrease in your post counts, and I apologies for the unforeseen change. I am very sensitive to the fact that post counts directly represent a member's contribution to the community at large, and I feel awfully right now knowing that I essentially whacked numbers off of folks who have done soo much for us in to date. Again, please accept my apologies, this was a complete blow it, and I deserve a whoopin'. In the interim, I have decreased the number of posts required to obtain the little blue planes ranking by an equal percentage of gallery posts counts that were changed.

Max, I completely understand that mistakes happen, however as an F.Y.I. my post count reduced even though I've never voted on any photo or gallery post. Again I understand, I just wanted to let you know what has happened. Thanks a lot.

I'm working on this. It may be a bit more widespread, but it's definately isolated to the gallery. Will post an update. thanks guys.
