I have an E-Flite Ultimate FX - not finished building yet - and I'm on my second QQ E-flite yak. Since I've flown the Yak I will say this - it will be one heck of a flying plane that would beat that. I would fly my IMAC sportsman sequence with the yak and do quite well. It flys precision the best out of all the foamies I've owned. If you want 3D - it does that too - anything you can throw at it!
You cant go wrong with the QQ yak . . .

I say go with the yak. I've had one,(key word, HAD.....dont try to do harrier rolls in almost 15mph wind, 7 feet off the deck when you are JUST learning how to DO harrier rolls.....
) I loved that plane SOOO much. Awesome at everything! I dont want to throw another plane into the mix to stir up your decision, but............Have you seen the new BYPYAK? Same design, but twice the wing area.......HOLY CRAP. you would really love that plane!

none. The yak is too fragile, and the byp is to complicated for you, so i say go w/ a charger rc cr1. Check out my video. Its a awsome plane!

I`ve owned both and actually enjoy the Ultimate more. The Yak is better at learning 3D and easier to fly. It will hold a KE, harrier roll easily and handles slight winds well enough. The Ultimate is a handfull! It hovers better than the Yak, but is so short coupled, trying to hold a KE is a challange. It also presents better in the air. Our club holds indoor events twice a month and both have been flown indoors....I feel they are too heavy for that type of flying.

Get the QQ Byp Yak,you wont be disappointed,it flys at a snails pace and allows you to do anything with plenty of reaction time. One down fall is its fragile if you dork it,but some Ca and kicker can help that!

I would suggest going with the Airfoilz Yak. Best foamy that I have flown by far.
Take a look at the thread and videos http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=4824 RCGroups also has a thread going with over 1100 posts.

Back when I had just learned to fly,(Still on my trainer). I flew the QQ yak and it flew unbelievably straight. I never did any 3d stuff with it but I ran through pattern manuevers with it and it excelled in precision. Also, watching Seth freestyle that thing at the Youth Masters made me believe that even though it was fragile, it was one heck of an airplane.

The yak flies way better than the ultimate but the ultimate can take an insane amount of beating. I learned how to hover and harrier with it and crashed a bunch. It also is more of an outdoor aircraft that can handle wind which is also better. The yak can handle wind as well but one crash and it was done but the ultimate went through 3 crashes the same way as the yak and serviced no prob. It all depends on what you want in an aircraft but both are exceptional.
