Hey guys I'm a newbie to the RCPlane industry and I was wondering what are some good beginner setups using Lipo Batts (2100mAh 3cell) that I use for my TRex450
How about the Mini Funtana? Any others? |

depends on what you want.
www.donalds-hobbies.com is GREAT for hitec and Futaba servo deals, www.AtlantaHobby.com is GREAT for electric planes (Just got a fliton extra 2 days ago from them) Tons of more places... Aeroworks has http://aero-works.net/store/detail.aspx?ID=256 man... there is seriously too much stuff. Also check out www.hobbylobby.com (I feel like a pusher giving product to a potential addict.. hahaha!)

Extreme Flight Extra 300 is a great one for that size pack. Best if the battery is 15c or more, since 25 to 30 amps at full throttle will give awesome performance. I've propped mine down to just under 20 amps since I have one 2100 pack that is only 10c. Still goes vertical, but a bit sluggish.
Also, add http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/ to your list. Bob R. |

If you don't mind building, I run 2100's on my Skeeter 40. 40 inch span and can be as light as 26-27oz. Mine was 28.

When you buy multiple servos.. like a pack of 4, the price really drops! Thanks for the correction!

Depends on how you fly it.
On a 3D plane 8 - 10 min... On a like a mini stick - 10 - 15 or more.

cool beans... Hmmm looks like after some research I'm leaning towards the E-Flight Mini Funtana... I've got all the basics controls of planes...but just not alot of actual stick time. I spent a few months playing with RealFlight G2 and could hover the planes in there... but I've always been hesitant to fly planes because I don't like the rebuild process with wood and glue...
But it seems for major crashes they sell pretty much each section of the plane. Now I have to go and research motors and esc's.Thanks |

Try the PA models mini Katana instead... flys MUCh better.
Not that the mini Funtana is bad, but you will find that the PA mini Kantana floats much better. And this will give you the extra time for corrections... http://www.precisionaerobatics.com/p...spx?prodID=940 many people sell them here in the states! OR I would HIGHLY suggest the Extreme Flight Extra 300 package deal. $300 you get the plane a NICE torque outrunner and GOOD esc. And anyone here will tell you.. that plane KICKS ASS! http://www.extremeflightrc.com/
