It is a really nice plane. The wings are incredibly thin, only 2.5" thick at the spar, but leading- and trailing edges are more blunt and/or thicker, than on many Composite-ARF planes. I am doing final preparations for Saturday's maiden tomorrow afternoon. I will take a bunch of pictures and post. The ailerons are huge and they allow for big throw without modifications, unlike say the Composite-ARF planes, where some removal of lib etc. is often necessary to get the desired throws.
I have attached the US order form that Ivo Krill sent to me, so you can see the price in US$ and delivered to your nearest International Airport. Add to this price about $50.00 in fees to the airline and to the US Customs/Border Control. As mentioned a container with Krill airplanes is on its way to New Hampshire where they will set up werehouse for the US market, so prices may change. I believe John Glezellis' father is the US rep for these planes now. If this KatanaS shows to blow me away, I have a fresh DA150 with pipes begging to be installed in another he he. JM Portugal, if I get a second, it would be in the same scheme as yours.

Just took these pictures after running the Kroma180i in the back of my drive way. My neighbor came over, I told him what is what, and he wanted to see the smoke. I put some Super Dry oil in it and started it up again, poured the power on and turned the smpke on. I didn't realize I had it blow it all on my other neighbours deck and pool, they were engulfed he he. Nobody must have been home, because nobody said anything. I have to listen to their dogs bark every time I go in and out of my drive way, so they don't really have a leg to stand on. Here are the pics, maiden is tomorrow morning.

And a couple more. Well, the last four are to big and I don't have software (I think) on this PC to make them smaller.
I am using some headers from a DA150, just drilled the holes slightly larger, into some banged up KS TD125 cans. The engine runs very quiet that way, except for the prop noise. My three servos in each wing, I made my own connect/disconnect system. I ran all three + and - together and soldered to a full size Deans plug. The I use a 3 prong Mini Deanz for the three signals. These plugs provide a much more positive connection than your regular servo plugs. In my last three airplanes I have mounted the Rx/Power Expander and voltage regulator to a board, then hung that board in springs from the stringers in the fuse. This isolates these critical components from most of the vibrations, and they can easily be moved out of the way if needed. The Kroma 180i starts just like a DA150. Choke till it fires, the flip till it starts. Idle seems to be very very low, and throttle response is great.

The Krill Katana is got to be one of the most "honest" aeroplane's I have flown.
Totally predictable at any part of the flight envelope. Mine has flown approx 80 flights, and if something had to happen to it, I would not hesitate to order another one |
