E-Flite park 480 should do it.
One of our members has a Fliton Extra & the 480 pulls it around well. Well constructed model & flys like it's big brothers. |

The key is to keep it light because it is very lacking in wing area for its weight. My 330 was 22 ounces with a 20L, no wheelpants, and a 1320 pack. I wouldn't have wanted it to be any heavier. Besides it's wingloading, it was an awesome plane! Some of the most stable high-alpha I have ever flown, pretty neutral knife-edge, and UNBELIEVEABLE, giant-scale-looking Blenders! The 20L was enough to hover and power out fine, but it was no foamy...the 480 would definitely pull better, but you'd have a heavier motor and would need a 2100 pack, putting you at around 25 ounces - kinda heavy, IMO. Oh, and the Edge has less wing area, so if I had to choose, I'd go with the 330.

I really don't think you'd enjoy either bird much with the 480 and the necessary batt to feed that monster. Bodywerks suggestion of keeping it light is right on.
My setup was a Hacker A20-20L fed by the same 1320 3s as mentioned above. I really liked the 10-4.7 prop as the best combo of power, but not burning up motors. I used a CC 35 ESC, FMA M5 reciever and Futaba 3110 servos to keep mine right at 20 ozs. Here's a vid of my Edge...... http://www.flitonusamedia.com/vids/F...chlessaero.wmv |

I find that both the mini-Edge and mini-Extra fly very similar...that is to say that they fly awesome! My videos of each attached as well as a video of my new Fliton Inspire 60 electrified which, although bigger at 6 1/2lbs, outflies both the Mini-Edge and Mini-Extra. Enjoy!

What would be a good airframe for the 480 motor?

I'm flying the mini extra 330. Hackers 20L, CC 25, Tp 2100. On my maiden flight I harriered the plane across the runway scrapping the rudder. I just about gave my builder who was watching my first flight a heart attack. He just finished the plane the day before .This plane fly’s very well. It does every 3D maneuver in the book. The only draw back is the fiberglass landing gear is flimsy and I'm on my second set. I have never seen the edge fly, so no option there.

I was going to maiden my 330 today but it was too windy. I have a 480 in it and a GP 1500 pack. 23oz RTF. Weather is not looking good for tomorrow. I will let you know when I fly it.

Does anyone think that a park 450 with TP 1320 pack would be a good combo for the 330 mini?

Go for the 260. it'll be out in another 3-4 weeks or so. It'll have much more wing area, and still a good match on the A22-20L
