Default Velox Revolution II- good for 3D?

Finally I want to get into giant scale- maybe next year....... Well I've found a nice kit (and good priced) of a 2.2m Velox revolution II. http://www.oriononline.cz/models_eng/main.htm
How do Veloxes do 3d?? Any bad habits?
In this particular kit the elevator looks a bit small though and I would probably modify it.

Boogie, not only the elevator looks small. The ailerons are pretty lacking as well....

If you want a 50cc Velox get the Aerotech one. I had it and it was awesome. I still say its the best IMAC machine in the 50cc class. It penetrates wind like a 40%. Now, it is just good for 3D. Not an AWESOME 3D BEAST, but it's good.

But the price difference......... and I want the kit!!
The price of the kit is about 170 euro which is about $220 and it comes with all the hinges and carbon fiber gear and tail wheel. That's 1/2 of the price of an Aerotech 28% Extra kit not even counting the shipping. I would surely love to get a Yak 54 or even an Extra (there are so many of them and I like the Yak looks more), but the extra cost would have killed me (for the difference in price I would get 3 servous out of 5).

The plane they showed in the video flew pretty lite. I bet the pilot was trying to finnish the flight quik so they could get in the car for heat.

This Velox is perfect for 3D, it is perfect stable in all harrier based maneuvers. I have seen i t fly "hundred" times. My 2.6 is not completely finished yet.

I would say it 3-d's like no plane i every seen. But i would only buy one from the man that started building them first. And it's also a winning design but don't take my word for it..........

ZDZ80RV-J, weight is about 9.5kg, it is extremely light!!!!! It means unlimited verticals with this motor. I like 3Dying with this plane, its nice and smooth. That is all I can say. Sorry, but there is no video, only the short on their website. More in month or two ... :-)
