Hey,
I just got a hangar 9 27% extra 260 with a DA-50. Does anybody know what the best prop for the engine is? 3 Bladed 2, carbon, wood? I prefer 3D flying! Thanks alot, Nick |

Hi Nick , who knows what the best prop is. I like the mejzlic 22x10 on my DA 50s , I have also 23x8 and 24x8. Thes props slow the plane down to much for my liking, I think I can control the plane better in 3D with the 22x10.
Hang tite more opinions are coming you can count on this. Kent

One more thing, on a cannister muffler using the 24x8 the plane is dead quiet.

NX 23x8 is a great 3D prop for the DA-50.

It will fly!!!

When I had mine I was using a Menz 22-8. It pulled great and was a great prop for break in.

I found the best break in prop for the DA50 is a 22-8, it could either be a carbon or wood. The wood is cheaper to start out with. The engine takes about 3 to 4 gallons of fuel to fully break in. I am now using a belia(spelling) 22-10 carbon on a aero works yak for 3D flying and also using a Mej.23-8 carbon on a aero works Katana. The mej. has better breaking for IMAC flying where the 22-10 spools up better in a hover. Just my 2 cents.

are you serious nick? man you just got your license less than two months ago and already dumped two planes. i think your jumping to far to quick. your making the same mistake i did. id crash one and i would try to move higher instead of fixing my mistake and and try mastering that plane again. you need to master that stick and the twist. whoever gave you the idea of buying that plane i outta slap them. you are a good flyer and learn quick but this is a serious hobby. flying a gas plane is much different and harder to set-up than flying a glow plane (i.e ignition, servos, gas and oil and prop, and general maitenance!) . I tried to give you advise before but you insist on thinking i dont know what im talking about so im done now. ive been in the hobby for quite some time and i know what im talking about! now that you already bought it, its a done deal so if you need any help making sure it is done correctly just give me a call or write me an email at sniperwolf12190@aol.com . i think you have my number too. also im me at sniperwolf12190
