Default The HOT 80cc plane?

Ok, so you may have seen in my other thread that I cartwheeled my old friend the Cap today. This leaves me with a decsion to make. I need a new 80cc bird. I kind of like the thought of a Comp Arf 2.6 Extra built light but I also like the AM Yak. What else is out there that I'm missing? Has the AM 260 came out in the 80cc size yet?

Wild Hare 33% Edge 540T and 33% Extra 260. Solid construction, excellent finish, $699. Weight 22-23 lbs (honest real life weight).

That Aerotech is a beautiful plane for sure, but is too small.
I had forgot all about the Wildhare 260 and Edge. I have owned a Wildhare before and the quality was certainly there. I may give one a shot. BTW, When is the Suk gonna be out and what will it weigh with an 80. My Cap weighed 24-25 pounds and had plenty of grunt.

The H9 Cap or H9 Edge are options, as is a lightly-built CHP, PP, or Extreme Aircraft 34% Extra. Also, take a look at the Aeroworks 75CC Yak that is currently available. Out of all of them, I would have to say it would be my choice because it looks nice and is the most completely assembled of the bunch and does fly well. My buddy has the AM 33% Yak and it came in at 24 pounds and a couple ounces with a 3W and not much attempt to keep it light, but also didn't add a bunch of useless equipment. I bet you could get it to 23 pounds with the ZDZ and a little effort. It also flies real well. 3-D snaps straight into a torqueroll are effortless with it!
Don't know much about the Wildhares, but they are slightly larger than typical 75cc planes and the price is right.

That's what i'm leaning towards. I'm gonna call around Monday and try to find a "Team Scheme" Yak.
Edit, Just looked at the PP 34% Extra, the price is right, but hows the quality and what are they covered with?

If you want to define "HOT" as fast, a 100" wingspan GR7 formula one racer will clock 190+ mph using a modified methanol burning GT80...19x18 prop, 11,500+ RPM....

Check out some of the videos sleepy took at our last race....

I have had the covering of my PP 34% Extra come off the right wing in flight enough to affect the lift on the second flight, got it back in one piece. It was bought last year and would have to say it was the worst China cote I have ever had. It is a shame cause this is an excellent flying plane. Also had a servo tear off in flight. I would give Aeroworks or Wild Hare's Extra 260's a shot. My new WH 41% Extra is light and extremely well built.

I have the 260... AWESOME plane, mine AUW is 22.5 lbs... killer plane, I LOVE IT!!!
If I ever kill it, I'll try the WH edge (or the new sukoi) next.
I believe this is one of the best deals out there.
