Just because the H9 260 and GP Yak are made by big name manufacturers and are cheap does not make them the best first gasser. Trust me, a lighter-flying plane is much more fun to fly, not to mention easier.
PLease tell me what model meets all the above requirements. I have found many that satisfy 2 out of 3.

Personally, I wouldnt go any smaller than 50cc. You have to be very carefull going smaller than that, you may be better off with something like an OS 160 powered bird. Too many people have tried to make big glow birds into gassers and ended up making pigs. Not saying it can't/hasn't been done, you just have to buy the lightest components. By the time you have done that, you could have bought a nice used 50-80cc bird.
Just my opinion,
Brian

Look into the Airwild 28% 260 it fits all three of the above criteria.

Sure can get these at a good price! The only thing is I have heard Edge's do not perform in harriers and IMAC as well as Extra's.

I think Edges excell in post stall flight.
Meaning they are killer for 3D
But edges (from what I have heard) don't snap as well for IMAC flight.

My KMP Edge rocks.. I am only so good, but Kitman and a few others have flown it and said
"MAN that is a great flying plane"

Also, let me just say that the KMP edge was designed by a very proficient RC plane designer that most of everyone loves...

The plane (for the money) cannot be beat!

But if money is not a concern... the AW extra 260 and 540 are suspossed to be killer as well!

So how is yours outfitted?
DA-50
1 -4800 fromeco lit ion and 6V reg on rec
1 - 2400 fromeco lit ion 6V reg on ign
Futaba 9 ch rec
Hitec 5945's all around, 9559TG on rudder
SWB 1.25" servo arms

Standard hardware and landing gear and wing tube that come with the kit.
Vess 23 - A prop and a TT 4" spinner

AUW (dry) 15.3 lbs.

The plane is killer for the money.
(but I'm not trying to sell them... just giving you my experience, ALSO keep in mind that I had a KMP YAK that was a PIG, the exact same gear was in the YAK and the YAK AUW was 19.5 lbs!!! so each kit may vary, but I have known of 4 people who loved the edge .... me being one of them!)

never seen one but at 80" it would be a better glow plane.. also the weight would probably be a tad high.
