Well I don't recall ever talking bad about them? Anyway, the canister sure sounds nice. When I'm flying at the same time as a 40-trainer I hardly hear mine... I have a ZDZ100 swinging a Menz 28x10, also with power to spare. |

She's got pants!
I also made a reinforcing plate out of plywood and fiberglass cloth to go over the center of the two landing gear struts.Any suggestions for a tail wheel assembly? |

Small update on my build. I made my own dash panel and mounted it. Canopy is glued in place, and cowl is mounted. Rudder servo's are installed and setup (8611a x2). I crossed the cables and slid a couple of nyrod sleeves over them so as not to cause any chafing or interference.
Elevator servos are installed and elevators are now mounted and setup. I had to work on the slots where the hinges go in to get more throw and I think I have just about as much throw as I can possibly get! The servos are Hitec 5955's. I made my own servo extensions which was pretty easy and rewarding. I think I'm also going to remove the rudder again and work on those hinge slots to try and get some more throw. If you do this you should be careful you don't poke a hole in the outer skin, it is very easy to do so! At least so I've heard.... I decided to go with a Fromeco 2400mah battery on the ignition too and I also have the rest of the power setup on its way to me. It will have the Smartfly power expander, two 4800mah Fromeco batts, Smartfly batt share, and Smartfly optical ignition kill. I've been putting it off but its now time to install the servos in the wings - wish me luck! One other thing was that the wing tube for the stabs was a little loose inside the stabs so when I bolted them on they moved around a little. I used some tape around the wing tube and now they are rock solid. |

CSpaced...
Nice work, I really like your instrument panel Is it a printed image? If so, would you like to share it? Good luck with the aileron servos Gather a lot of patience and calm before you begin...

Ask as many Q's as you want, I'll be happy to share what I've learned on this airplane!
As for the dash...I don't mind sharing but its a big file, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send it over to you. I just want to see a pic of it in your airplane

Well, I pretty much did like this,
http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/s...ht=scale+stick But instead of cover it with film I took photos with my digital camera, sideview with no wings attached and top and bottom view of wings and stab. Then edit them in Corel Draw to match my 3-view I was building after. Print them out and "cover". To finnish it of, a coat of epoxi and a nice canopy... Took a few hours but it was worth the effort I think. It will be a killer practice plane, fully symmetrical wing, airfoiled stab and fin and the wingloading is well below 50g/m˛ (whatever that is in oz...) ![]() TooLy, Adrian is right, it's the X-Treme Composite Edge 540T 33%, the same as CSpaced is building here, but obviously different colour... |
