When you mix epoxi with balsa dust you get a good mixture that you can "build" with. |

I have sanded them down a bit, cause they were very sharp in some places. Specially the leading edge of the wings needed some sanding to get a good airfoil. Have a look, |

I have to say that the seams on my kit were pretty good, I didn't have to do any sanding and in fact from the motorbox back to the canopy they actually put trim tape over the seam to blend it into the fuse color.

Its not as close as I would like but you can clearly see, or not see so much, the seam at the front.

Hy,
I would like to take part to this thread too. I have this edge. ( the fantasy scheme). Mine is almost ready for the maiden. I need to set my ailerons and to check evrything. The first flight is forecasted on saturday ( depends on the weather conditions off course) Could you post some pics of the inside of your plane? I will send more pics as soon as I can. Thanks Space |

Welcome to the Edge thread Space! I am still trying to figure out exactly where I am putting the electronics, but here is my start.
How did you install your aileron servos? |

Cspaced, my set up is almost the same as you. Instead of using some regulators I use a SF super reg. I have installed the super reg and the power expander just behind the rudder servos( as you did). However the batteries need to be put on the wing tube to balance the plane. As I don't want to use too long extensions for the batteries I will move forward the super reg. ( pics coming soon)
For the ailerons servos I have made a long screwdriver.( with a tube and a screwdriver) and to install the servos into the wings I use a cheap servo arm. I set a long tube on it. Then I attach the servo to the servo arm and then I try to put it in place. ( it's not very hard). It's easier than it seems to be. Space |

Space, I had my buddy weld a screw driver to the end of a rod so that I can get at the servo screws....I will let ya'all know how it goes when I get a chance to try it. I will probably also end up putting the batts on the wingtube but I don't have to worry about extensions because I'm using a smartfly battshare which will reach everything just fine. I'm trying to think of something to line the holes next to the power expander with so that the servo wires won't chaff against the wood?

Adrian, you should be good with those servos in the wing...I may have gone a little over board and put two 5955's on each aileron......but you can never have too much power right?

If any of you guys use the same "reliaswitch" that I have in the picture there - can you tell me how you have mounted those? Do you just put some screws through the three holes there and bolt it onto some plywood?
