Hey, Joe..
the rolling circle was cut short due to the F.A.R's not allowing energy toward the crowd. So you can only do a 180 degree roller and have to stop. I had pleanty on speed left for the roller. Now the straight rolling harrier....nothing left by the time I stuffed the nose down.
We all had a great time. A huge thanks to the Thistle Down crew. The Demo Darby was an absolute blast all be it a bit on the windy side, but we all had a good time.
If you missed it this year...mark it on the calander for next year now.
Oh, and Max...Biff....dudes......you're too much. Both of you.
now off to the "real world" of American Airlines in the morning!

Matt,

My misunderstand on that one, but that explains it. You do an Awesome job. Thanks for doing the show and to Corky and the crew. I see that you took out Jimmy flying foamies. Way to go, Matt. You just have to put these young kids back into the place some times. Looks like definate fun.

Snap A Saurus, It will be a long week with you coming back for the DOGS Show then this a week later. I just may have to take my vacation that week. I hope you do come. Maybe Max will come back also ?

Hey everyone,

Just got time to get on here and talk a little about thistledown. Man what a show. Corky and the boys now how to do it right. I came down Thursday night to drop off max and hang out for a little bit. When I got there I could not believe how many people were there. It was just huge. Campers all over the place. It was great to see guys like John Bradley, Frank Noll, Matt Chapman, and all the others already there supporting the show.

I was not able to make it Friday as I went out and test few my new plane so Friday will have to be posted by someone else. On Saturday My brother, dad,and myself loaded our vehicle up and headed down at aout 8 in the morning. We get to Thistledown about 9 and this place is packed. Even more so then Thursday. I talked to Corky and he said they had more then 100 pilots. It was crazy, Trailors as far as you could see and 2 wide tents had to be set up for enough room. The flying went on all day with many awesome flights by Frank, John Bradley, Darren Eaton, Matt Mahnke, Sean Saddler and many others. After the flying was the Elks time. Many people left the field to go and do a little bit of drinking and that they did.

Sunday I had to take off early with the bad weather but, Matt Mahnke was out there doing dead stick landings with his carden extra. I will fill in some more details later but just wanted to give a little insite to the great time I had at this show and it will for sure be on my list for next year. My only regret was not being there longer.

Love to know what happened to Max. I know he got lowered a couple of notches. Anyone know the whole story. Something about a kick in the !@@##, a good choke hold, a hurt shoulder, and lots of crying.

Max, I hope you can respond if you are able to type. Remember, after ten or twelve beers, things in the mirror seem closer than they really are.

EDIT: The Thistledown trip was absolutely awesome!! Here are a few shots of the beating I received by Kitman and Biff on Saturday night. As it stands right now, I need to eat my meals through a straw, and I'm using pencil erasers to type as my fingers are pretty soar..

Working on the photo flood and full writeup right now, posting today.
