Go for the single 50 oz. Only motors you need two tanks for are the 4 cylinders that have 2 carbs.

A single 50oz tank is plenty, I would only add an additional tank if you plan on running smoke.

Yup. Do what Vic and Razorback suggested and stick with a fiddy'. Another option would be two 32 ounce tanks, but even that's overkill. Anything more than a 50 can get to be too heavy.

Another problem with plumbing two tanks into one engine is a balanced draw. You prolly need to feed both into a header tank first to prevent one from going dry first and suckin air.

Actually, what you do here is you set them up like in a heli. You have a main tank, and a pressurized one.

Main tank:

Vent line - to Pressurized tank
Clunk line - to Carb
Fill line only in this tank

Pressurized tank:

Vent line - to bottom of fuse
Clunk line - to main tank's vent line

If you want more fuel than 50 oz (which I dont think you need) You can get a single 64 oz tank. Du-bro makes it. Good luck

two tanks plumbed together work great and easy.Tank A has the vent to the out side , its clunk line goes to the vent on tank B and the clunk on B goes to the filler or carb. This set-up works flawlessly on my buddys planes that we set up. Two 32 oz tanks , could not get on large tank over the CG.

If you want to run smoke, but not all the time, two smaller (than 50 ounce) tanks would work. Let's say you run two 32 ounce tanks. You can plum them in a way that the two can work in unison for gas only, or when you decide to run smoke, you would pinch off one of the lines. This would dedicate one of the tanks for the gas feed to the engine, and the other for smoke oil to the smoke pump. If this is what you are interested in and would like a schematic I will make one up, then try to figure out how to post it. Others may be interested also. Just let me know.

If you are looking for a set up to just feed fuel to the engine, then I would agree with the others and go with a single 50 ounce tank.
