Default can a gms 120 run inverted

i want to put a gms 120 in my showtime from h9.
will this engine run reliably inverted with out a pump.
or do you guys think this a bad match of motor and plane.
i run gms due to a tight budget at home but have had 2 61's and a new 76 with great reliabilty.
all were mounted on thier side though.
is there a big difference when thier inverted.

all motors will run inverted, if fuel tank is set up correct. but they do tend to run rich, or loadup at start-up. after it fires you shouldnt have any problems. run a hot long reach plug. minor carb adjustments will make it better. i have run motors anyway you could , or any position you can think of. when setting up get the motor to start and remove the plug glow starter. if it shuts off when heater is removed its too rich on the bottom. keep tweakin or leaning just a little at a time until it runs when the heater is removed. then set the high end and your ready. i dont think a 120 is way overkill, but i would stay away from high pitch props. and go to the larger diamiter props. what ive found is rule of thumb is. in the manuel it will give suggested props sizes for pattern, sport, and scale. you take both numbers and add both size and pitch to get a total number. this number will tell you what size and pitch the motor will handle. lets say it says 15x6 for sport that would total 21 any prop that totals that number will work and be in the range the motor calls for. example to get the largest prop that would work in that case would be a 17x4. by being able to go to a much larger prop it will act more like a flywheel and you will get a better idle and pull power, but you give away speed. it really is easy to set them up. most people say dont run motors inverted, but thats because they dont know how to set them up. also the larger the 2 stroke the less nitro seems to work best. now this is just what i've found out over the last 20 years. i go to events and most of my moptors i give a flip on the spinner with my thumb and fore finger and BAMM its purring. if you fly with a lot of people and you see the same guys always adjusting there motors, or carb needles. DONT ask them for help. try it and see. let me know what you find. i think you will be suprised. its nice showing up to the field and never adjusting anything. people will start asking you what to do. you can tell them ,but it wont sink in for most. some will catch on others you cant tell them anything, cause they know it all. so kick back and snicker. fuel up give it a quick flip and fly trouble free. sit back down and the dude is still adjusting his motor.

Here is a recent mod I performed.
