The contest will run on the same schedule as 2005. Tuesday, Oct 24th will be check-in day, with a judge's meeting in the afternoon. Competition flights will start on Wednesday, Oct 25th. Wednesday thru Friday for the preliminary rounds. Saturday will be the Finals for Sportsman thru Unlimited; and Semi-Finals for Invitational. Sunday will be the Finals for the Invitational class. The Four-Minute Freestyle flights will be on Saturday (one flight) and Sunday (two flights). Regards, Anna |

Guys,,this is a must attend. Super host club, professionals running it, great vibe and some SICK flying. It is a contest first and foremost, but the vibe in the pits and in the stands is something you just have to feel. Thanks Anna for sharing info. Tucson is one of the most fun contests you could imagine. I LOVE going there! Biffy

Hello,
I wanted to add that we have committed to Dave again with a 40%-42% plane for this event. This will be the third year for us and we look forward with our co-sponsors to have another successful event. Thanks John www.aerotech-rcmodels.com |

Definitely a MUST GO!!! To be honest, while I appreciate the precision part, I can only watch so much of it. The good news is that there are a few flying fields within minutes of the hotels that seem to welcome us with open arms, so me and some of the old Cirkus crew and other friends spent most of the weekdays flying and did some afterhours partying with friends and even some competitors...it was a real blast and I will be there again with toys to fly at off-site fields.

Still need the low-down on some of the "extracurricular" events
Will there be an area where Flying Giants members can go to gather and plan?

Dont forget to keep us hillbillies from Downunder in mind when planning some "Other Activities" a bit hard to bring a toy to huck, but my baggage certainly will contain the Drinking boots and stubby cooler.

Bodywerks,
That was some after hours time at hooters. Anyways like everyone has said this is a must go contest either to watch or fly. It is laid back but filled with action. Andrew |

Yep. I still swear that Brandi chick was hitting on me, even with my ring on!!! Then again, I was three sheets to the wind, so maybe it was all just a dream??

Not to change the subject, but is Wildberry doing a video on the 2005 shootout? The first video is fantastic. Makes me want to fly, even in the winter here in Michigan. Addictions aren't all bad.

Wildberry's Shootout vid wasn't a "recap" of the Tucson shootout, it was more of a documentary about competition flying. I don't think they had any intentions of making it an anual video...
