27% and 33% are two different planes, (63" Vs 76") I would doubt very much if the Saito will drag the 33%, guys are fitting the gas 100cc engines in these

If you want a big Ultimate look at the BME/PAU 37% Ultimate bipe, this is the best buy on the market for an Ultimate and the quality is second to none ! At 649.00 for the arf you can't go wrong covered in Ultracote not chinacote. You can see them on BME website or Troybuilt Models website if I wanted a big Ultimate I would not hesitate on this one!

I have the WM 33%, got it cheap ($550 US- $800 AUD) so I have to go ahead building it. Everybody tells me my Saito 300 is just about useless so I listed it on Ebay (the aussie site) and will get the DA100.

Qustion re servos: My local supplier tells me not to bother with digitals and go JR539MGs all around. He told me to invest the difference on a power board to make sure I have enough juice to the servos.

I guess I need advise on how to set up the electrics and what to buy....... Help please.

I would be going for the best servos you can afford. Just make sure they are metal geared. I personally use Hitec servos in my planes, but I prefer digitals for that precise centering and instant torque.

For power distrubution systems, there are many good ones around. Smart fly power expander, power box, or the emcotec. Emcotec is probably the best of all of them and has the most features.

Hi again;

Following Rusty's advise I just ordered:

8xHitech digitals MG 9.9 Kg torque (forgot the number, sorry)
1x Emcotec mini power thing (that one hurts $350 AUD - wow)
Twisted wire leads
Robart hinge points for tail and wings after reading the construction review.

Need advise on

1- Batteries
2- How many receivers?
3- I just came across a Zenoah 80cc brand new at an attractive $900 AUD, would it suit the 33%? or will it be another fiasco like the Saito?

Thank you in advance.

To be honest the zenoahs are over weight and under powered for this application (been there done that). They are more suited to warbirds and boats. Go with a DA or 3W 100cc, 3W 80xi, or the DA85 if you can wait until it is released.

For batteries 2x 6V 2300mAh Nicd or NimH packs will be fine, or you could go with li-ion packs to save some weight. With li-ions the fromeco 2400mAh packs would be a good choice. One receiver is fine for a 33% model.

I have also have a 33% biplane from world models with da 100. Got it off rcu. Will someone tell me how to keep the turnbulkers from unscrewing on the flying wires. Will fly it soon and report back on performance. It had tape on them when I got them but would like to do something better.
