well I had a better run on the engine today, but I will need a bigger prop, the 36*12 is way too small, I actually hit 7200 rpm, not good

EVO turning 36*12 propeller at 7200 rpm (1 min 37 sec)

That engine sounds great Roger... can you keep it sounding like that in the airframe ?

I am trying keep the rpm at 5000, and waiting for a 38*14 prop, hope it will be enough, as for the sound on the test bench, as you can see two exhaust feed into one on each side, and the sound was with no muffler , although it was a bit loud, it wasn't as loud as I would have expected, remember I never ran the engin in this setup, and before I had to flute type on top of the carburator for the hot rod look but could not get the power until I discovered , if you install these flutes you have to completely redo the needle valves which I had not done, now with the carburators as they should be, I was blown away with the power

Roger

good question, I still do make my own props but I don't design the props , I simply copy them for my own use. so for a 38 * 14, I need the first one , then I make one for a fraction of the cost and the original never gets to fly, and remains a master in case I break one,

I'm still working on the Pitts but have slowed down for other projects, and here is one of them, as I have joined this radio company as a consultant, I have designed and had made by CNC from solide aluminum a new transmitter casing tray style, not quite finished in the assembly but this is a prototype, I am also designing a hybrid hand held/tray transmitter,

If anyone is interested in the specs of this radio it is quite awesome

I am a consultant with them, although this design of the casing is mine, I am using the FrSky Taranis electronics.... which is the reason I have stopped designing my own electronics , this one is over the top as the best in my opinion , you can have a better look here

I have a reservation for one at Aloft, still waiting. I have been using the Frsky conversion for about 3 years now in my Futaba 9C transmitter. Never a problem.

I chose this company for teh electronics because I find them extremely good
Now you have to look at OmG servos, also the best in my opinion

I followed the OMG thread closely, I haven't seen anything to convince me to switch. I use 7955's now, I have recently purchases two Bluebird BLS 31A's for testing, don't know if I will switch or not but the servo's tested well.
