I assume the 12mz if it is called that is to replace the discontinued 9z. Price structure of futaba line 14mz, 12mz, 9c, is at $2200, $1500, $400. I think they should fill the void between 9c and 12mz even if 12mz comes out. I think they should have something between $700-$1000 price point.

OK.
It is no rumour, it is real and it is apparently going to replace the 9Z. This is it. We Frank Noll in on this to give us the inside but these are on the market in Europe. Kiwi |

Have a look at the recommended price. You canget a 14MZ for that. 1500 Euros is nearly 2000 USD. Dont see much value in it for that price but then again it may land in the USA for half that so lets not summise, wait for the event. Kiwi |

You would certainly hope that is the intended price range but I have a feeling its going to be a $1500 USD radio. I cannot see how they could justify the 1524 Euro price and not be close to that here in the USA as well.

Isn't this just peachy, they eliminate the only other high end radio, so your either stuck with the 9C or 14... just brilliant. If only JR sold negative shift

Teamsme,
Well they are moving the cards around if you look at it. 9C is the top of the 1024 line. 12MZ will be the bottom of the 2048 line. Until they eventually come down to a 9 channel 2048 setup. The 9C from what I hear is a very versatile radio and I doubt the 9Z was selling in actual fact. It does very little less than a 9Z. So a 2048 some $700 less than a 14MZ just might be were they want to be in the market. Still lets wait and see. No good speculating on something only the gods know about. Kiwi |

I have a 9C, its a great radio but I'm just getting tired of it. It's like the gadget geek... NEW TECHNOLOGY!
rather the 9z was like 13 years old lol edit Whats the point of dropping money into a mid range 9z 2048 replacement that will be obsolete?

The 9Z is still an outstanding piece of equipment and I think you guys will be able to pick up a used one for peanuts soon when the Z crowd moves to the new system. I am keeping my Z for a while still, as it is hands down the best tranmitter I ever had.

The 12Z is coming with many more features than the 10x, that's where the $500 is going. It's 2048, has assignable switches, can do heli and planes, has servo grouping, has WFSS Synthesizer, and a 5014 rx which is $380 by it's self. I think the price is right for this radio.

Perhaps they should come up with 12ch receiver for less money. Or sell the tx alone without the receiver as an option. I'll spring for $1100 for transmitter alone as it will feel at home among my fleet of airplanes.
