Here is one I did for a 260 when I was trying to decide 260 or Yak
Have at it on your 260. I think it will really show up well in the air. |

I haven't seen an Aerotech 40% Yak, but I have their 35%.....it's just a huge huge airplane for 35%....and the sizes shows in it's weight...it's over 30lbs.
I can't count the number of fly-in's I've gone to where guys just can't believe it's only a 35% and not a 40%. Seeing as how the 35% is just a scaled-down version of the 40%...I can't say I'm surprised by the weight....but I definitely wouldn't worry too much about it. Even at 30+lbs, mine feels like it's about half that in the air. Ignore the scale and just go fly it. BTW...thinking about selling mine if anybody might be interested.

Hello,
I have posted on this in our support forum. Weights have varied from just under 41lbs to 43. So that weight I wish I could comment more how 3lbs showed up. I make sure we get a good grade of balsa no heavy and the laser I have cut out all think we can. I think a re-weigh may be in order. Later John |

glad to hear i'm at least in the ballpark.....+/- a pound isn't bad I don't think with all the variances in wood and building methods....
mine has a DA100 on standard muffs and Hitec 5955's all around....the DA yanks it around like a rag-doll....very impressive motor. |

Just remember Chris, when you get tired of it let me know. You know Rod will be interested. He's been flying the snot out of that CA Extra. That Yak looks sweet.

chris,
mine weighs between 44 1/2 and 45 1/2 and flies light. yours should do fine. here's what i'm not really getting (i'm not saying john is trying to mislead anyone ...i'm a repeat customer so i guess we're "friends'!!!) i think most would agree that a 121" carden extra (for example) comes in about 40-42 lbs. this plane is much bigger w/ a fairly heavy gear and a fairly heavy cowl so i don't see how any of them could be any less than about 43lbs, steve |

cardens wings are said to be 118"...still some of them reach 40 -41 ilbs w/ canns, some slightly heavier. who cares what the weight is as long it performs to your liking!
