Default New Release: UM P-40 Warhawk BNF with AS3X Technology by ParkZone

Hey guys, I found this plane to be really neat. I've always had a soft spot for the P-40. I think it's the snarling mouth that got me as a kid, and that love affair has continued on. Check this new release from Horizon out!

UM P-40 Warhawk BNF with AS3X Technology by ParkZone

From 1941–1944, the P-40 Warhawk took the fight to the Axis on multiple fronts in a variety of roles. But no role is more famous than the one it played with the Flying Tigers in China. Officially dubbed the American Volunteer Group, the Flying Tigers earned their legendary nickname by using the P-40 with devastating effect against superior numbers of enemy aircraft. Their exploits, along with the menacing, shark-toothed grin they painted on their planes, made the P-40 an air combat icon.

This Ultra Micro Series model is a thrilling recreation of the P-40 that you can fly almost anywhere. It comes equipped with the advanced AS3X® (Artificial Stabilization – 3-aXis) System that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of turbulence and torque. You’ll feel like you’re flying an expertly-tuned, Giant-Scale model that does exactly what you want.

You can have this Bind-N-Fly® version flying in the time it takes to charge the battery and bind its receiver to a 4-channel DSM2®/DSMX® aircraft transmitter.

Default Awsome

Looks very smooth in flight! Definitely would like one. But is there going to be a price jump for the as3x capability?

Thanks

Call me critical, but this release did not do much to excite me; despite my being a huge P-40 fan...

Price is the same as the models previous to AS3X. Same as with all of our Eflite and Parkzone ultra micros, we did not increase the selling price when we introduced AS3X.

Very cool ! but a 15" WS is very small... I own several of the BnF planes, and by far the ones with AS3X tech are the most fun to fly, as they are not as easily tossed around by a stiff breeze.

We need more of the size like the 540QQ and larger.

There goes another $100.00 for me. Lol. Seen one on display at the local hobby shop and it looks great.

Very cute! The thing that I noticed most about AS3X is hand-launches become a non-issue. Just toss it, and AS3X keeps it stable and in control. Launching my Mig-15 was cake. Very impressed with this stuff.

I'm just a sucker for a P-40..
And tiny = fun.

I love the small BNF's. LOVE THEM!
Mainly because I'm pretty busy right now, so popping a box open charging and flying is very appealing!

These BNF's are bad arse, I just maidened the Beast last weekend and they fly awesome. Now that the P-40 is out, how about a FW 190?

As a die-hard Futaba user, I would not invest more than for a used Dx7.

I hate the toyish feel of the 6i and the 5ch does not offer any computer programming.
I will not invest in another 9 or 11 channel- those bucks are going towards a 14sg.

The Dx7 feels great, and offers all the programming capability you will need for most models.
You can find a used on pretty cheap

Someone else may know for sure, but does the AnyLink module allow Futabas to work with spectrum BNFs?

No it does not... For bind'n fly you something with DSM whether its 2 or X protocol to use them... Tactic uses a different protocol. And I am a JR guy but for you FU flyers the dx7 is a great radio for a good price for the BNF planes. Also I have the GeeBee and the Beast with as3x and its amazing!
