Hi Guys
That was greeeeaaaat, yeeeaaahhhhhhh!!!! Just spent the afternoon flying me new extra260. I don't know how you guys could hide this big fun for so long. I din't know about that great fun to fly this rc models. I started the hobby with a 40 inch funflyer last year, had this shock flyer yak54 this spring. And now this...... My awesome H9 Extra 260. It looks good, flyes good, sounds good. Huckability might be good... had a hover in about 300 feet height for minimum 10 sek. The MVVS (Evolution) 45 has a easy one. However, I'm not going to force into 3D until I get familiar with the new plane. Tom |

I saw one of these fly this past weekend.
Only it had a rather unique choice of motor. It had an O.S. FF-320 Pegasus 4 cyl. Four-stroke in it, with onboard glow. It sounded so realistic and performed well , also. VRooom mmmmmmmm,,,,,VrommVrooom.... I want a Pegasus. |

Hi, Today I finished my instrument panel for the extra, I thought that the sticker was kind of ugly...so I made my own panel, here are some photos....hope you like it.
I used a cellphone camera, so the photos are low quality, my good camera was stolen two weeks ago. |

Yea looks a tad over proped. My ran-in da50 spins a 24-8 sweet - but the 22 -10 is much better for accurate 3D. I used to think "the bigger the prop the easier the hover". But Thats just huckin paranoid?

Good idea about the panel. You could use the existing sticker, but make a wooden mask to cover everything but the instrument dials. One problem I have noticed with mine and others is that the glue on the sticker starts to let go and the corners start curling up. Not pretty.

yeah I had that problem with the sticker, what I did is simple, just paste the sticker and start cutting off the things you donīt need so you will have spaces where the wood shows and the sticker where the istrument dials are, you apply the glue on the wood to paste it on the fuse, and thats it!!!!

Running mine on a moki 2.1 .I seem to be having a problem keeping the surfaces true and straight. I removed the warps by shrinking the covering but it was difficult to keep everything straight over a hot summer. The plane is capable of everything. It fly's very well and if I didn't already have a moki at the time I would have gone with the 45. With the slight warps in everything mine wing rocks pretty good and waterfalls are a bitch. I have got the cg right and coupling is minimal. Blenders are quite violent. Rolling maneuvers are nice. Like I said, it is a great plane for it's size Sorry I don't have a video camera or I would post some crappy flying skills

Get the graphtech landing gear, It is top quality and way stronger than the H9 gear mine had started the delamination I glued and clamped it and it was great till I had my first hard landing in a nice 20 minute south Texas wind storm. Mine broke at the bend just under the fuse and cost me a prop and a scraped wing tip, luckily the plane was fine and after seeing the difference in the gear I can say for 59.00 the graphtech stuff is the way to go, plus it looks better. Mine has a DA50 and Menz 23x8 prop and it flies very well.

Hey guys tested mine on Sunday, and more sorties today, easily the best plane Ive flown or owned. So good I took a day off today just to fly it.
Using an OS 160, wieghs just under 13 lb, plenty of power out here even tho we have a density alt aroud 3000 foot. Would love to fly it at sea level, on a cold day. Its hot out here in the desert well over 100+. Matt |
