Contest Time with Limitless Aero and Aeroplus RC!
Hey guys, it's a new year and we have some new advertisers on the site so it's the perfect time for a new contest! Our friends at Limitless Aero and Aeroplus RC want to give you guys a chance to design the new scheme for their 50-60 cc Slick 540. That is correct. All of you who have said "I'd buy a Slick 540, but I don't like any of the current schemes," well here's your chance. Bust out the computer programs, the crayons or your kids' water colors and get to it.
Enter as many times as you like, and enter by simply posting your entry picture here. Keep in mind that 500 mediocre entries is not better than one bad ass submission. Take your time and only upload the very best ones! Limitless Aero and Aeroplus RC ask that you keep the following in mind: - We really want to see some new creative scheme so don't be scared to go wild with it. - Good visible colors are a huge plus. - The airplanes are standard balsa construction with shrink covering so please keep that in mind when working on your design (e.g. no color fades, crazy micro detailed designs etc.). - Please stay away from copyright issues (e.g. no commercial logos, or copies of full scale schemes). The contest will run from Today, Monday, Feb 4th until Friday, Feb 22nd, at 12 noon EST. After that, we will give Limitless Aero and Aeroplus RC a week to sort through all the designs and we will announce the winner on Friday, March 1st. The winner of the contest will receive their choice of the new 20 cc 68" Sbach 342 or 60 in. electric Yak 55M, completely free of charge. Also, Limitless Aero will be happy to work out a smoking deal for engines/servos to complete the plane. The prize plane will be shipped, free of charge, in the US. If a non-US member wins, Limitless Aero and Aeroplus RC will contact the winner and workout a shipping arrangement. Okay guys, get to it! Let us see your vision of the perfect Slick 540! Heck, i have spend 16 Years of my life exclusively on Art: Art school, Academy, owning my own studio fore few years and so on, but when it comes to designing Aircraft color scheme I'm totally useless.

I saw his biography on PBS last year. Funny thing is that as an Air Force sergeant he had to be loud most of the time when giving orders, so when he left the AF he promised himself he would never talk loud again. Also his famous afro was a perm, he had straight hair. At one point he wanted to do away with the fro but was advised not to because all his products had his picture logo. I have watched most of his shows and like he used to say at the end of his shows, "God bless, my friend".
