Hey guys, if you are like me many of the new small ready-to-fly planes seem to find a way into my heart and my car. The little guys are fun, quick to get in the air and the perfect way to sneak in some lunch time flights. Until now the Transmitter-Ready (Tx-RTM) Aircraft and Heli's from Hobbico required you to add an Anylink module to your radio to fly them. Well now, you can have one very nice, very affordable 6 channel radio to fly ALL of your Tx-RTM planes and heli's as well as any other airplane or heli!
Powerful. Intuitive. Evolved. Engineered to appeal to intermediate-level sport modelers, the TTX650 has the features needed to fly almost any airplane or helicopter. Generous 20 model memory sets this radio apart from comparable systems, and intuitive programming is as easy as pushing a button. The large LCD screen offers graphing capability, with adjustable contrast for easy viewing. With its advanced functionality and budget- friendly price, the TTX650 is a remarkable value — and the perfect radio for anyone entering the ever-expanding world of Transmitter-Ready (Tx-RTM) aircraft! These are going to be great little radios. I have several on backorder already. I also have plenty of the little TR624 6-channel SLT receivers in stock at $20 bucks a pop! And 20 model memory is a great feature at this price level. That's one of the drawbacks to my DX6i, only 10 model memory:-/

Well, it clearly shows the model names while picking the model memory. That's a nice feature and usually the complaint of the Orange T-Six (and older Futabas like the 6ex).
I don't see any mention of DSM2 or DSMx compatibility. Would this bind with UMX small models and Parkzone BNF models? I'm not familiar with the line of planes mentioned in the OP's writeup. I presume it's a standalone system like the Turnigy 9X that uses non-DSM receivers. If this were BNF compatible, I might get one just for the 20 memories! Oh, is the screen backlit? Edit: Oooh, wireless training mode. Sweet. Never have to worry about having that dumb little cable. I like the idea of that. Last edited by Kelstertx; 03-03-2013 at 11:02 PM. |
