Well I'm just about done with my Christen Eagle II. I'm looking for advice on what to expect. This is my first Bi-plane of any kind. So if you have one let me know what it flys like. My planes setup is: Moki 2.10 20X8 prop. JR 811 on the wing, Hitec 5645 on the rudder, 537's on the Elevator (will be changing them to 811's also. No idea on weight yet. 6V 2000Mha battery.

Very good looking plane there 66stang. I have always liked the Christen Eagle. I think it is the scheme that I like so much.

I have had mine for almost two years, but only put one flight on it this year. It flys great. You do have to fly it in for landing. Keep the speed up on landing, but it will settle in nice. I had no problems with mine.

I had a CEII that I sold before finishing, and I thought the quality and the covering job were amazing. I never flew it but I did fly a Pitts. Definitely keep the power in on landing, and watch for adverse yaw when working the ailerons - you may need to dial in some differential. Good luck with the maiden!

Also with this and the GP pitts, you have to use rudder in uplines and loops and such..the plane will pull one way when you hit the top of the loops, and its pretty snap happy... so as everyone said... fly it to the ground.
My friend reciently let me fly his pitts, and to be honest I was a bit nervous, but it flew great... he also has the Moki 2.1 in his.. with a pitts muffler.. it is a rocket. the plane really likes a bit of speed even during normal flying, it tracks much nicer with a bit of speed. Nice plane... and you will love that motor.. an with 0 - 5% nitro only needed its not that expensive! Plenty O power as well! Have fun!

Good Luck! I have 7 flights on my Pitts and it flies great. Same wings and fuse with only a few changes. Some folks like to shim up the rear of the top wing about 1 degree. Keep your speed up on landings. The ailerons are way outboard and the propwash can't reach them. It is a ton of fun to fly and looks great in the air. You need lots of cross-control in KE. Stay off of high rates on takeoff and landing. I use 70% expo on high. Hold elevator all the way up while taxiing and don't let off until you get some speed up on the ground. You will need the tailwheel steering positive until the rudder starts flying.

Stang: I forgot something. After you land, keep the elevators up. The airplane may try to tip forward.
WTMI? (way to much information?)
