Mounting canopy on DV

I would like comments on canopy mounting methods. I've mounted several canopys in the past, but have always looked for a better way.

I'm ready to mount the canopy on a Double Vision. Screws won't work in this application. the canopy doesn't come down far enough to hide them on the inside. The manual says to use mark the out line, needle prick the covering and use slow CA. Alternatively, they say to remove 1/8" of covering around the perimeter and use RC56.
Will the CA fog the canopy? Will the RC56 stick ok without removing the covering? I've used the RC56 on 60-90 size stuff applied directly to the cover with no problems.

How to hide the ugly? Unfortunately, the canopy does not have a frame painted around it. So to make it look decent I will have to either paint around it or trim with vinyl. Both being PIA not to mention color match. Any input welcome. thanks for looking.

Duct Tape!!!!

I would say FOAM SAFE CA. Shouldn't fog the canopy!

Foam safe CA isn't supposed to fog the canopy, but I would use canopy glue strictly because it stays flexible. If you glue it to the covering it won't come loose from the covering, but you have no way to make sure the covering doesn't work loose with the vibration of the canopy.

I use the canopy glue and then run a 3/8" stripe of tape half on the canopy and half on the fuse. If you run it around nice and slow, it looks pretty good.

paint it then glue it with either shoe goo or pfm.....it stays flexible

Waht is the clean-up for shoe goo? Do you roll it up like a booger or is there a solvent. This is the same stuff as Zap-a-dap-a-goo. Right?

I've found some red electrical tape that may work ok for trim.

That's why I use canopy glue, clean up is easy and it stays flexible.

OK, Iwent the 256 route with trim. Looks like the rest of them. Not a "how did he do that" install.
50 fits good. Baaa

You didn't forget to complain about the wheels that flatspot, you just hadn't gotten around to it yet.

I usually get rid of the foam wheels and use Dubro lights.
