Hi Guys,
I have a H9 Showtime to build and I am contemplating engines at present. So far I am swaying towards the 120ax, mainly for simplicity of a 2 stroke, but I want to keep the weight light as. Is anyone using one of these and can it be fitted without/or minimal cutting of the cowl. I am planning on using an after market pitts style muffler( noise??) rather than the one supplied. I also need an idea of suitable props, I'm only used to rotors.Any input appreciated, Cheers Kev |

The 120 should fly that thing sweet!! Keeping it light is a good thing, mine has a Saito 150, too heavy but flies great anyway. Inverted with a pitts should be fine, for prop selection use the manual, but chose one with a low pitch.
Absolutely set up the control horns like the book says, don't try to run them too close to the control surface to increase your throw, FLUTTER WILL HAPPEN!!! |

I've owned my ST since they came out and here's my .02 on it.
I first installed a Saito 100. Flies it great, would do anything in the book, had nearly unlimited verticle, and was a great combo. It installed easy and was a snap to get everything working. I wanted more power, and I was able to pick up a new Webra Speed 1.20 pumped for $180. Wow what a combo it is. I decieded to go with a side mount.......and it was a little work to get everything lined up. But man oh man it has power out the wazoo. It never slows down from straight and level to straight verticle. That's what I love. I've actually had problems blowing covering off the plane, and now have knocked out the rear stab tube. This is a excellent combo. Seeing how I hate 2 cycle glow engine, I feel the perfect combo would be the Saito 1.25. The weight is nearly the same as the Saito 1.00 but it'll give it the extra kick it needs. If you have any other questions, just ask....I"ll answer what I can. But by all means...the O.S. 120 AX would work great in it. Neo |

Hi friends, here I send you a link of a post about the building of a ST-90 with an O.S. 120 A.X.. It is not necesary to buy another muffller. The original fit very well.
