Please take a moment to read the my intro to The Standards Guide before you read or download it so as to give you some background on how it came together. 2007 Known Sequences This year, the selection process was, in many respects, the same as last, with the overall goal to get the Knowns out to the membership as early as possible so that folks in the Northern climes could have a chance to fly them before the weather turned bad. The Sequence Committee again worked their collective tails off to get the 2007 Known Proposals to the Board, all the while keeping up with the continuing need for National Unknowns. They are again to be commended for their work. For those of you who are new this year, or for those of you who have forgotten, here is how we pick our Known's: In short, the ISC designs three proposals in each competition class. The Sportsman through Unlimited proposals this year were derived from the 2006 National Unknown program. Basic was again designed from the parameters set up for this introductory class. Next the three top choices in each class are test flown to insure compatibility with the criteria set up for each class, in other words, the sequences were designed with not only each class in mind but also the skill levels required to move from one class to the next. Also factored in is the relationship of difficulty between the Known and Unknowns flown in each class. From my Presidential Update on this subject from of this last year I wrote: "The important thing for the membership to remember when considering the new Known proposals is to be mindful of the fact that the Known and Unknowns we fly going forward are tied together with the goals stated above and as such, the structure and flow of the Knowns will relate not only to the class itself but to the other classes as well as the stated goals for the National Unknown program. Therefore, I ask all of you to not only consider your individual class when looking at the Knowns but also consider the big picture of how the classes relate to each other as well as the relative difficulty when being compared to the Unknowns you have flown this year." Next, the top three choices in each class were forwarded to the IMAC Board for consideration, debate and approval of the final sequence in each class. The IMAC Board also has the ability to make changes to the final selections as well. Well that is how we do it! With that said, I am now pleased to release to the Scale Aerobatic Community, the Official 2007 IMAC Known Sequences. That is correct. These are the final sequences for the year. Read Wally's Presidents Update for the scoop. The Sequence Committee handled the whole process this year.

Has anyone noticed that we haven't had a cuban eight in a known in a few years?

Im excited.fg57 Unlimited looks like it will be a blast to fly! I think its great that they are out so early. Lots of time to practice.

Like they said, some of us don't get alot of practice time till spring
I will be flying sportsman next year. Is fig5 on sportsman a rudder over the top ?

Its a half knife edge loop with a 3/4 whoopdie doo. Naw its just a cross box humpty. 2/8 is a 1/4 roll, then push the half loop over the top. The 3/4 roll on the downline puts you back on heading for a parallel box exit.

I may have had on to many beers but on a 2 of 8 up line doesn't the canopy or bely end up facing me?

Yes, you are pushing over the top on the y-axis (cross box). Then a 3/4 roll in the appropriate direction to get you back on the x-axis heading in the correct direction.

You can fly the y-axis push coming towards yourself or going away from yourself. It is pilot's discretion on the y-axis. But what ever way you decide to go with the push over the top will set the roll direction of the downline so you end up heading in the right direction when you pull to level flight back on the x-axis.

2007 Intermediate looks great. YES! rolls on the horizontal line. Something that was missing this year.

The group that writes sequences has done a great job. The national unknown program was a huge success this year also.
