Default QQ 102" White version???

I see that they are like $600 or so. I see that on the QQ website, they show the defects. They are very outright and honest with good pics of the defects. I would like to know if anybody has one and if they are worth the trouble to fix or was it more a pain that it was worth in labor and new covering. The biggest thing is the bevel's are not at ALL cut accurate or straight. If they are an easy fix, I think this would be a great bang for the buck. Personal hands on experience would be greatly appreciated folks. Thanks.

I have the older Gen 1 Yak, I think at $600 it will be a steal! I have no complaints as of the finish of the airplane, fit on the canopy could be a little better(canopy blew off, but with a little aligning of the brass tubes it now fits well), and the bevels could be a little more on the elevator (Plenty for all 3d, doesn't take much but it takes a little work to get into a KE spin; still it's perfectly doable), but it's nothing that could be fixed easily. I think the canopy was just an isolated case and nothing more, we fixed the alignment very quickly; elevator bevels can be sanded a little and covering re-applied if you really wanted to. It would be a little bit of work to do it, but it wouldn't be that hard. (if you even need to, but I think mine is fine the way it is) Again, it might vary from plane to plane how much work you might have to do. The newer generation probably flies exactly like the older one, just some changes in construction, so if you can get it, I'd say it's probably worth it.

Regardless, it's still a QQ Yak and it flys AWESOME, very little bad habits. I have a video on the video contest page if you want to check it out.

I have mine (in White) for a few months now. It flies great. I wish it was 600$ when I bought it. Have no complaints with it. And I fly mine every week end. I have competed with it 5 times this year and always finish in the first 3 places.

For 600$ is a great airplane.

By the way I have over 150 flights with it, and she behave great.

The bevels in the pics on QQ's website look pretty shoddy. Maybe that's worst case . Thanks for the input....

Hi there,

As I explained it on the website, when hinging allow a little more gap so full deflection is possible then seal the surface from top and you will never notice a thing. Half of our inventory is gone since Monday, we have very few left. This price is less than most 50cc planes out there!

Thank you,
Reza

I have built a couple of the QQ's. I mean no offense by this but........DEAR GAWD WHAT A PAIN IN THE A%$!!! THEY ARE CRAP-TASTIC. In my humble opinion that is.

I checked out the aeroworks QB ( http://aero-works.net/store/detail.aspx?ID=276 ) in Colorado recently and it's a little more money but SOOOOOOOOO worth it. In about 5 hours you can be in the air, the scheme is beautiful, comes great hardware, everything you need is in the box, the quality is fantastic, and they fly much better than the QQ's.

Again, just my humble opinion.
