Andrew,

How long have we known each other now??? It's KYNA, not Kina!!! I only correct the ones I love!

I almost didn't recognize Jason underneath all that hair. Despite my many attempts to convince him to cut it, it looks like shaggy is here to stay.

See everyone in a couple of weeks.

HI Giants well I just got married out in Sedona and i figured that since I am in AZ I may as well take a day trip and head to Tuscon. my question is this;I will be going to Tuscon on thursday for to see some giant action. I have talked my new bride into letting me spend a day of our honeymoon on airplanes!! ( she understands the obsession at hand!!) so i was wondering if any competitors will be there or where i should go! i would die to meet hemple and tour the DA facillity but i dont know if or how to go about it. any help would be greatly appreciated. i'll be checking my post this evening. thanks again giants!!

Anna wood posted the link to the site map of the Shootout field. I believe this is where most of the people are practicing. I also believe that Hempel is already out there and practicing, so you may run into him. As for the DA tour, I understand they did it last year so they will likely do it this year. Just give them a call and they will help you in that area.

UUUmmmm, I guess I should lay off the medication for a bit. Somehow in my excitement to get there I lost a week. I'll be getting there mid NEXT week

Still looking forward to it.

Cheers,

Bill Hempel is most likely practicing at the TRCC (Tucson Radio Control Club) not TIMPA. The pictures that have been posted of Bill and the guys are out at TRCC. TRCC is the closest field to DA. TIMPA is a good 45 minute drive north west of TRCC and DA.

TRCC is located at Valencia and Houghton, from I-10 take the Valencia (same exit as the Pima Air Museum) exit and head east all the way to Houghton. There is a light at Houghton. The road will turn to dirt a bit past the light. The flying field is on the north side of the road about a mile or so from Houghton.

Here is a link to a map for TRCC
http://www.imacwebscore.com/2006Tucs...s/fieldmap.gif

I expect as we get closer to the event, that there will be Shootout pilots scattered around Tucson, at both TIMPA and TRCC; and a bunch of folks up in the Phoenix area practicing at their home fields.

Regards,

Anna Wood

Tony,

All the guys in your class took a vote and you will not be allowed to practice in Tucson at all.
Thanks for understanding.
