ah right i thought it was a competition.

Reason i ask is i was going to fly at XFC this year, but they are in the way of my year 13 exams, basically the ones that matter a lot! would be OK if it was in the UK, but to go to the US is unfortuantly not going to happen. looks like im waiting till 2007!

Don't get me wrong. it is a competition. But we stress the fact that being a gentleman is FAR more important than a piece of wood on the wall. Winners of both catagories get awesome trophys. Winner of best sportsman gets a ride in a Stearman!!

Well, I can say that the Youth Masters was one of the big highlights for my son this year. He flew in Basic and had a blast. We will definitely be there next year!!!

We found out about the foamie freestyle after we arrived. I had brought an old beat up GP Fun Force Zero. Matt flew that. He was the top placing warbird. Finished in last place in the foamie freestyle, but had a great time.

This is a super event. I recommend it to anyone.

I will be too old to compete next year, but going down anyway just because it is an awesome weekend. Not like anything else, you get Triple Tree all to yourself if you're a kid.

I'm just going down to help out and watch, it's that awesome!

Hey Bob! I remember that. Your boy (and you too!!!) Flew that thing great. I am gonna bring the prize count up so more youth participant places get something. We still need to formally name that electric foamie competition. The guys were very sportsmanlike even after hours!!!!!!!! Take care. Keith

Ya man YM was sweet. I'm also to old for next year but I'm going down to help out and hang out with my old buds should be a blast with QQ there. i wonder if he's giving a yak away again it was awsome that he did that. It's sad to here that mean green wont be there I put up some big scores with that thing . If you've never gone and your under 16 by all means save your money and make the trek down there great times, I gurentee you'll never forget and you'll never want to leave.
peace

HEY GUYS
I am glad to see that you are catching on that you are never too old for the Youth Masters. It is so great to see some of you come back after you have reached that magic age of 16, just to help out. The younger kids really look up to you and appreciate the help that they receive.

The second lesson after sportsmanship while competing is learning how important it is to give back to the hobby by encouraging the younger competitors.

I hadn't seen anything much on it either. Even at the Joenall website it lists the contestants but doesn't tell what place they finished, what their scores were or anything. It probably doesn't get the attention since it's youth and not adult stuff. It still looks like alot of fun, though!
