At the field this past week end we had a discussion on living in the North East part of the USA and the weather is starting to change real quick, on the pro's & con's of storing our planes in unheated garages & such. I store mine in a heated basement but some others store in un heated spaces not by choice but necessity.
Is there an impact to materials, eg. glue joints, coverings, radio equipment, engines etc. to be concerened about. I'd like to here from the members who live in colder climates of the world if possible. Thanks |

I live out west of Chicago IL.....can get pretty darn cold in my unheated garage during the winter. Storing batteries in freezing temps is right out......found out the hard way when I lost two NiMH battery packs for a Milwaukee drill. I've never had a problem with the other components, but removing the batteries has got to be a priority.
