The 2.4 module for the 9303 will come from a third party, http://www.xtremepowersystems.net/xtremelink.php. You can read about it in various threads here on the Giants site and some other Rc forums. Last I heard it will be for sale before Christmas. I think I remember reading that it will cost around $175.00 for the module and one reciever.

-STEVE-

I spoke with them a while back and they had no idea when the modules would come out.

Quite true. Until it is actually available for consumer purchase, there is no telling if it will ever be released. The DX7 at least has a predecessor(dx6) which is available now that proves the tech actually works. Horizon has a habit of pushing back release dates on radios at least once. The Jr7202 was supposed to come out like in July, then it was pushed to Aug, then Sept. It finally was available mid Sept. Horizon lists the Dx7 as early December. The initla release was supposed to be early Nov, then got pished to alte Nov, and now earyl Dec. Keeping in mind past trends with Horizon, the Dx7 will be available right before Xmas or very early in Jan.

Does anyone know about how it performs in composite planes? I can't seem to find any info on tests in composites.

In mine a even take the regular antena end out about 6 inches.
I would surely make the Dx antena stick out.

It works perfectly fine. It was put in Bob Violett Models turbines at the Superman Jet Rally a couple of months back (one of its first public debuts) and BVM jets are all composite and it was right by the turbine ECU's. A composite turbine is the nastiest enviroment there is. Period. The turbines ECU gives 72 mhz RX's fits. Most turbine pilots run the RX out the front with a whip antenna to get it away from the ECU. The DX7 RX is unfazed by it. It has been tested in helicopters that are all carbon fiber framed. What makes it possible is the second antenna. You run one in the X axis and on on the Y axis. Several of the Team JR guys fly Comp ARF's.
