Default Photoshop project

Hey guys, I'm about to order a Maxair Velox II. From what I here it's a better flying plane than my old F90, and it should make a good home for my ys110. But, the scheme is somewhat........... how to put it............blah. I would like to make it easier on the eyes, but I don't want to recover the entire plane, that is WAY too much work. I'll attach a pic of the plane and any of you photoshop guru's can have at it if you like.

One idea I had was to remove the black stripe on the wings and horz. stab, and replace it with a straight lined elongated triangle b&w checker pattern. Know what I mean?

Here ya go

I really like the first one. The red is much better, and leaving just a little curve is nice.

boBro' looks awsome, but it'll take too much time and effort to do. I was looking for an easy way out.
Thanks
