50 and 100 at the moment. Course its time to make a play for a 65-70cc engine, so mfg's could make another size plane for the market, but it could work. The 100 size went from 95 - 100 - 102 - 105 - 110 - 116 etc,the 50's -51-55... haven't seen many 65's...more power for that slightly overweight 89" plane! Sorry just saw this was over 2 yrs old, but still a valid point

i voted for the a new 100cc sized aircraft. I would really , really , REALLY.....like to see a extra 260 or 300 in a 104"-107" made to accept tuned pipes for a twin AND a big single.

If someone was to make an aircraft like this , and just cut out two different tuned pipe mounts out of ply ( one for a single pipe and one for a twin) and then leave it up to the buyer to install the correct piece for their engine.

I have "heard" of a well known company that WE ALL know that has one in the works , and i'm going to be one of the first to get this sucker. It'll be an awesome match up for a BME 116!

besides....the 100cc planes present well in the air because of their size and are about 30-40% less to build then a 150cc-170cc aircraft.....so you can OWN MORE!!

I went from small glow stuff (15 size) to a Falcon56. Thought that was great.
Few more glow planes. MissMartha, ect....
Years later, went to a Goldberg Extra 300 with a YS120. Thought it could not get any better.
Went to a Midwest Cap232 with a Moki180. Thought hey, bigger does fly better.
Then to a 96' Staudacher.
Then to a 2.6 CompArf YAK (3W106QS) WOW. Can't get much better than this.
..
..
I was wrong.
.
Now flying a CompArf 3.0 Yak (3W170CS)

Seems bigger I go, the better I like it.

When I say: "This is it, I don't need anything bigger." My wife just smiles....

Peace,
Wayne

I'd expect the 157 to fly "larger" than the 35%er too.

I'd have to say 50cc and 100cc is the most popular with most people right now.

The size poll is outdated. When first posted it had good application but now there's a boat load of gas newbies that want to get into the game as cheaply as possible. So the smallest gas engine that will fit their existing glow sized, Tower obtained, aircraft is what they are seeking.

For them it seems a 20cc-26cc size class needs to be incorporated to provide a very large number of people the chance to vote. Those in that group will likely not achieve 50cc class status anytime soon

Funny you mention that. My usual flying crony is stuck on his glow-sized planes because they fit in his buick, whereas something along the size of an average 50cc won't even come close. He is looking into a 25-35cc gasser sized plane for this year.

With the cost of glow fuel its no wonder he's finally decided to make the move to gas, and I'm sure many others will be doing for for just the same reasons.

Yo Matt! I didn't see your post. Things are good here. Ordered a PAU 43% Edge, so I'll have another 40%er in the hangar. How are things on your end?
