Guys I like both the 50cc planes for ease of hauling them, but after spending some time on the sticks of my 100cc 35% Extra. I got to say the 35% is a lot better in the air, just not to fun to haul. But I'm starting to build another 35% because bigger is better!

I have been through 20 to 150 and have come back to the 100cc class. A good bang for the buck. The Zenoah 20 has the best milage, the 150 presents the best in the sky. My budget right now says 100. That could change with one good paying looto ticket!!!!!!!!!!

What's wrong with a trailer I drive a smaller SUV but can tow my 18 foot trailer , so cheaper on gas on average , and my airplane stays in the trailer, My personal hangar if you wish. Roger

I think it's not so much the trailer as it is the deed restrictions most neighborhoods in Central Fla seem to have now. If you don't own acreage- or have a home in a neighborhood older than 20 years - trailers are a burden to have around- kept out of the publics' view.
Deed restricted neighborhoods - not all that great of an idea for the independent minded.Purchse with caution. That is why I added the third garage. Shame there is little room there even for a trailer! More like a golf carts' garage than a third car.

Setting aside the best flying plane for its size, the 50cc should be far and away the most sought after for price. There are lots of folks who are going from glow to gas and that market should be wide open for the next few years. Yes, 26cc is doing well for the low low budget, but the 50cc still can handle 1 servo per wing and keep cost of the servos down all around. Just my 2cents worth.

50cc easier for transpotation, now a days everybody is going to gas so go for 50cc's
100cc's more fun 150cc's more fun more stable more RISK (money) i would recommend a SU29 bird |

I have all sizes of the planes listed and my favorite size when the wind is relatively quiet are the 40%ers. When the wind gets up to 15mph the 35%ers are stable while still being nimble. The 100cc size planes are the ones I fly the most.

Flew my buddies 33% Edge with 105 BME the other day! Oh WOW!
Had to wipe the drool marks off the trans. Bigger is, no question, better! However, with those of us who are retired, still a little too pricey. However, I haven't check my lotto ticket yet for today...............

wind handling is almost entirely dependant on the actual "design" of the airframe. when a plane is properly "designed".... a lighter, smaller airframe will handle the wind the same (if not better) than a heavier, larger one.
