Default EVO 150 Pics

Guys, the Evo is now mounted on the Extra. I'll have some pictures of the install tomorrow, but here's a few of just the engine. There should be a full flight report sometime this week.

Jose! Welcome to the Giants! It's pretty neat to have the manufacturer on the boards.

Adrian, you should check out the Magnesium version:

I'm watching this thread close- I'm going to buy a CA 38% Extra next week and still not sure what I'm going to power it with- I'm a 3W guy, but from what I've seen and heard, I'm considering this one- I like the fact that it's lighter than the 3W 157. Keep us posted with pics and comments!!

has anyone done cannisters on the 150 or 180? If so, which headers and cannisters? akso, the length of the headers for optimum performance?

Since they are a European engine, the Evo's are designed primarily for cannister mufflers. When you order one from Forgues Research you can get the headers there. It's pretty neat because they are adjustable, so you can fit them for your particular install. As far as the cans themselves go, MTW or KS are good.

OR, JTEC makes regular style mufflers that will bolt on. That's what I'm running.

Ian, it turned out to be a bad cylinder gasket on the DA. When I took it off the plane, I saw where the gasket was leaking. I guess it knew that it was on it's last fly-in so it was trying to get even... You and Ashley going to make it to Merigold?
