Mad Max, Even though I was unable to attend this year's event in Tucson, I have been staying abreast on this site, and appreciate all the hard work and pics that all of you guys post for others to see and enjoy. I was wondering if I could trouble you, after returning home from this event, if you could email a couple of pics that you took of my son Mark Earl at this event. I like all your pics very much, especially your wide angle shots. You took a pic of Mark with his chin on the cylinder of the DA-150, and one of him walking from the flight line back to the pit area with a focused, business-like expression on his face. Might have been just after his crash. He tells me that it was his fault for the crash, not equipment failure. Could you please email me at ML72218@aol.com at your convenience to let me know if this is possible. Thank You!
Mark Leseberg Sr.

That's possibly the hardest hit I've ever seen from a model. It's like someone else already said. The only was you can really find your limits is to occasionally go past them. Luckily with models, it allows us to get away with it more easily.

Yeah he flies JR but if you look at the video it looks as if the plane just got away from him. When you are rolling that fast that close to the ground you better be on it. I doubt it was any type of lockout but I'm sure folks will start saying it.

How could you possibly tell that? Sure looked like he had a ton of control to me, just rolling that fast, he got he elevator backwards, reversed the split S, and didnt have enough room to make it. To say it "looked" like he had a few servos locked up is bogus-the video isnt clear enough to see anything like that.

I agree with Tank. Besides, when you push the limits, the limits push back sometimes.
That bitch was ripping though! Sounds like a full scale coming down the hill.

I'm glad you cleared this up Tank. I am with you 100%. It looks like someone was just trying to start a war again from another post about 8611's locking up. There was no way for him to see that a servo was locked up. Just got crossed up on the sticks.

Well, I just got a lot more respect for Mark now, nothing to do with his flying but he said it was his fault he put it in, not equipment failure.
Even the best get behind in their inputs sometimes, I have yet to see someone always fly perfect, and for Mark to stand up and say It was me, good for you buddy.

I'm like most others, and hate to see anyone lose a plane, but Mark was doing what he does, pushing it, and that is why more times than not he is standing on the podium.........Well done!

I don't remember seeing this term used before. It has now been added to the Giants Jargon.

Didnt it though? Wow, you could really hear the stress on the motor from the gyroscopic force of that prop, combined with the changing sound of the prop, really sounded like a full scale.
