Didn't it look like QQ hit the ground in round 1? The smoke really hid it well but it sure looked like he hit to me. Not that it matters.

Great going Kyle, I was pulling for you.

Hey but to be honest with ya, I think QQ took it. Just reviewed both videos again. QQ had more of a variation, more maneuvers, and was low on the deck slow and in precision. Kyle had him beat in low, slow, on the deck. My humble, amateur opinion.

Both guys are awesome no doubt! How long has QQ been flying? Kyle? I want to see how Kyle flys when he has flown as long as QQ.

Both pilots did great, as did Jason Noll and Jeff Szueber. All 4 had the crowd wowed with every flight. I was one of the judges during Round 1.

Where the line judges sat, they couldn't see Kyle's tail wheel touch.

Hey Guys, Thanks for your support. But honestly, QQ had it the whole time... He's a machine.

As for me touching in the 1st round... I know it was really close and I was holding my breath waiting for it to come around there. but, I didn't see, or feel it touch. (and i know what it feels like when it hits.) I have also seen pictures and close up video showing a small gap. I don't mean this in a "full-of-myself way" because i'll admit i didn't want to go that low. And i definatly dumb-thumbed it in the 2nd round when i basicly landed. But I do see how it people would see it as a touch.. But when a plane hits ground, there is a distinct bounch. And I didn't see one.

That probably sounds bad coming from me. (as the pilot) But it's how i saw it.

But, QQ won (never touched, ever). and IMO I don't think I beat Jason Noll. I still havnt figured out how my freestyle scores higher than his, because his is the most complicated free I have ever seen, and he pulls it off perfect every time. Blows my mind. I know mine are not very technical, or planed for the criteria. But freestyle is just my way of relaxing after flying IMAC. and I enjoy goofing off for a few minutes. I really am amazed that I placed in the top 5...

All in all We had fun. and that's the point of TAS.

I have been awed by you since the Funtana days. I have to say you are a true pilot and a true sportsman.

Kyle,

Do you want to share with us what QQ told you today?

I will share what he told me. "Kyle is the future of freestyle, he is very smooth and his tail always follows the plane. He is never out of control" That is high praise.

Kyle, it was great meeting you and I was amazed by your super talent, even though you didn't end up singing. From our perspective you are definitely the master of illusion out there in that dirt, you had my heart pounding out of my chest a few times. Here's a close up of what was probably your "lowest" moment! Keep up the great work and awesome attitude!! Hope to see you fly again soon.
