Looong thread on RCU, and quite a bit on here too. Check horizons website for product updates. Know theres something there regarding the holes that need to be drilled on the firewall, and what length stand offs are needed for the DA, but think theyr 3in.

3 inch standoffs. When drilling the firewall for the DA the angle bracket inside the left side of the firewall should be turned over so that the wide side is toward the front. Drill through the angle. Make sure and move the rudder servo to the right location and use a push-pull setup, for balance. The one I had was using a Slimline Pitts muffler and I didn't have to add any weight for proper CG.

i have flown several with the DA - i personally think the wing loading is not enough for 50cc but the ones i have flown all flew pretty good and they do the maneuvers well and the plane tracks well - all used 22x8 props nx/bolly etc. allways thought this planes was good value for your buck as all H9 planes.

I have had 2 set up this way. I flew both with a Mejzlik 23 x 8. I tried other prop but this one worked best. Both are still flying. I have one and the older one a friend has. I think the older one has around 150 flights on it.

Xoar makes a great prop. I used a 22x8 for break-in and stuck with it. Last time I checked the RPM it was at 7000 with a Slimline Pitts style muffler. You can't have too much power
. I used a 4800 mah Li-on for the Rx and 2400 mah Li-on for the ignition. More battery than I can use in a day. Keep it light! Don't put any thing in there that you don't have to. Mine came in at 14.4 pounds and it flies great! |

I'm curious, just how did the 1.80 pull a plane with the size (drag) of the H9 260 and what does it weigh?

I've got a H9 260 with a DA 50. Goes well. Wingloading a bit high so you can put flaps on when you land. Generaly don't go over half throttle because I'm afraid the engine will rip out of the mount. The glue joints on this plane are not very strong and you will notive that not many things tend to stick to the ply that they used.

DA50 23x8 menz rudder servo in tail .....you will need to modify the engine box bracket and order graphtech carbon gear for it. I broke mine right at the bend on the left side..... but mabey it had something to do with the 400mph wind storm we had when I was up gotta love south Texas weather.. plane is a power house with DA 50 you are gonna like it.
