I will always remember that video Kyle made of his Funtana 40 only a few years ago. I still think that video is some of the best flying I will ever see. And to think it was a Funtana 40. If you’ve ever flown one, they are not exactly the easiest plane to fly. He flew it around as if it were suspended from strings like in a puppet show or something. The stuff he was doing was amazing. Now he’s out competing against QQ at the Tucson aerobatic shootout with a 40%’r. Who would have thunk? Glad to see you out there Kyle. We all like success stories.

I did not vote, it doesn't matter to me. These are two great flyers.

PS: Does anyone know where I can see that video of Kyle with his Funtana 40?

Actually, it was a YS 120. There is, however, a Funtana 40 video as well.

True, the original one was a Funtana 40 with a YS 63. The 2nd one was the F90 with the YS 120. I like the F40 one better. There was snow on the ground in the older one.

Yup the F40 vids were more impressive to me because they are not the most forgiving SOB's.

Jay
And I still watch it once in a blue moon. Spectacular pilot control, way way before the big hubbub of "rollers". He was dragging elevator counter balances for many years before this tail wheel touch... Buahahah. I love his vids on www.e-flightline.com and Jeff and all of those guys at E-flightline are just as first class.

Yeah, I also saw those vids and Kyle's flying is just unbelievable. He flies slow and low with such control it blows my mind.

Check out Leseberg's 3rd freestyle on RCU. Everyone has their favorites, but this one is as good as Kyle's or QQ's . He has a fast paced style that is very precise and yet exciting and daring , it is really everything you want to see in a freestyle routine. Nice!

Well I finally downloaded and watched both kyle's and QQ's freestyles. I must say from a pure 3D point of view Kyles routine was the pick for me but from a Freestyle point of view with a judging criteria i think QQ's was a definate winner, the precision was just that little more precise, as was the timing of manouvers to the beat changes etc, I think QQ is the master of giving the judges what they need to see as the judging criteria dictates. I think his experience on the big stage showed and proved the winning point for him. I do also think that Kyle's skills and flying was absolutely awsome and he will be a force to be reckoned with in the very near future as his experience grow. Well done to both QQ and Kyle and all the guys who put it all out there for us to watch

Hi !
WOW ! Great Freestyles ... Quique is still the same ... precise ... amazing ... etc ... Kyle does so smooth 3D and technical manoeuvers but not with the precision and of course the QQ style !

To speak about Kyle Woyshins' freestyle : DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE SONG ... when he's doing "down on the deck" 3D and tail touch ... ?

Thanks in advance !

Bye

great job on flying kyle.. you are da man!!!!!... as for the whole "save the plane" ..these guys are pros...i admire there flying... the lower they get for the crowd puts them on the top of the world to me....kyles attitude is what i like.. ive seen a video of a certain "top" pilot throwing his brand new 14mz (i think it was) into the ground b/c he dumb thumbed his plane...wish i could find that video!!!...

My opinion... Best flight.... Mark took first and Jeffery took second, Kyle third.
Low rollings are no that original and I see guys inches off the ground all the time.
Don't get me wrong, all the top pilots can do all the tough stuff, I just liked the pace and combos
of Mark and Jeff.
However this is just my opinion from the vids, I did not make it there.
