John Wondra! I remember out 1st year flying IMAC. 2nd contest of the year, about an 8 hour drive to the contest, and his car breaks down about a mile from the feild... He grabs all of his stuff for flying and Walks to the feild for the weekend... Sleeping in a cargo container. He's a trooper.

Then, About two contest later, john gets rear-ended by a dump-truck on the way to the contest. Smashing both, his truck and his plane. we heard about this and never thought he would show to the contest. But, before the 1st round of IMAC, John is rolling in from the hospital to fly.

John Wondra...
You're a Savage when it comes to comitment!!

-Kyle-

BTW: That is just two of many storys of john... This Kid is awesome.

Well, I guess I should add a storry of my own for this guy. When he first started showing up to IMAC contest in the Northwest, we were all amazed, we'd roll in with SUV's, trailers, RV's or hotel rooms, spending more money than we actually had, and do everything in our power trying to give ourselves the edge of being comfortable and alert. Then there was John, literally, sleeping IN HIS WING BAGS, not even a sleeping bag. Remember, this is in the beutiful (often cold and wet) northwest! He always had the perfect attitude and faught harder than anyone I know to make it to, and fly in, contests. He is a trooper, more dedicated than anyone I know, not to mention extremely talented. It's a pleasure to have him in our region (NORTHWEST ROCKS!!) and as a friend. Great job John, we are all very proud of you and ALL the others at Tucson this year, Brian Webb, Big Bob Knudson, Tony Green, Kyle and you represented us well. Also those who made the trip down to support our guys, you all are the best IMAC buddies anyone could ask for (again, NORTHWEST ROCKS!!!!!).

So now the bad news, I've got to fly against Kyle AND John next year in Unlimited! JEEEZ!!

Headed home today fellas (actullay get home Monday), I'll be practicing the new sequence the following weekend, think I'm gonna need all the practice I can get!

Dang John, my man,

I think you are one of the few I didn't get to meet at the TAS, and I'm extremely disappointed that I wasn't able to do so.

Congrats on the placing, I wish I was able to stay for the ceremonies, but I had to leave for TX, duty called.

See ya' in the future!!
