Default Anybody run a Vess on a DA 50 yet?

I am about to order some more props for my 50cc sized stuff. I think I will try a Vess. Just wanted some opinions on which one and all for a 16.5 lb Yak with a DA 50 on it. Thanks.

Yep.

Its pretty cool.
I have the 23A on my DA 50 on my 15.3lb edge.
It as BALLS of torque, and has pull out power like a **** star.
But once you hit 1/2 throttle it dosen't really go any faster...
Its kind of sweet.. like 50% - 100% power dosen't have any more speed, but it just pulls harder. You will notice this on a vertical line.. it just goes up like a train.. at a common speed.

If your 3D'ing.. I think you would dig it.

GremlinX,

Sleepy's right...most people are using the 23A for 3D on the DA. It seems that the Yaks really like that prop. Here's a pic of Jay Benson's AM Yak at a recent IMAA event. It weighs 18+ pounds and has great throttle response in the hover and the vertical is amazing for the weight!

Yeah, it is an old and repaired EF Yak 54, so it is a little tubby at 16-16.5 . I need torque. I don't fly this plane IMAC speed at all. Thanks. 23A it is... Keith

Can somebody get me Vess's number to order. My wife has me running around and Vess's website uses frames. This phone won't let me look. Thanks

I just ordered a 23A for my Evolution 45. I get very similar numbers to the DA50 depending on the prop. Sometimes higher rpm, sometimes a bit lower. Right now im using a Bolly 23x8 and pretty happy with it.

Like you guys are saying, i hope to get more torque from this prop.

I'm running a 22B on my 27% ultimate with DA50. Has tons of power even at 16.5lbs. Verticle lines are much stronger, punch out of a hover is instant, and downline breaking is great. I plan on running a 23A or B on my new extra once the motor is fully run in.

I had a good carreer in "adult movies" for a while...
Jenna jamerson, Tori Wells, Savanna... yea... I worked with them all...

But unfortunately for me, "Giant" went out of style in that industry, and i had to retire...

Fortunately for us, GIANT STYLE will never go out of style.

Haggy,

If all goes well I will be trialling the 22b on my Wild Hare extra in a few weeks. Just waiting until the motor is on synthetic oil before I change. But from the changes it prop made on the ultimate I'm sure it will be fine.
