So I have been flying the Edge with the 3w 106 and I am not happy with the power to weight going to take it to the next level. I got the Da 150 in yesterday and starting the mod for the plane and wondering what prop to go with. The plane is going to weigh 32 pounds with the DA 150. I was thinking a 32X10????

use the 30/10 3 blade its gonna be to over powered with the 2 blad props plus the 3 blade will get you some ground clearance
Edit: changed from a 12 pich to a 10. I was mistaken when first posted on the pitch sorry.

A zdz 160 champ would have been a better choice, less than 1lb more than a 106 FYI.

It is east of Dallas on I-30 30 miles east. Going to fly her this sat with the 106 on it don't have time to get it setup before the weekend and want to fly. So not this weekend but the next it will be ready with the 150. Dennis bring some stuff lets get together and fly. I will PM my phone number to you.

I guess you cant argue with free, but IMO you wont be happy with the extra 2-3lbs either.

I know you probably already have your mind made up but I would look for ways to lighten your airframe and save the 150 for another plane.

Also, are you also considering all the tailweight you will have to add as well? I dont know how the 106 isnt enough for that plane, considering I have flown it numerous times with a 106. But, to answer your origninal question, you will make the most power with a 30x10 2 blade.

Well, if you want that kind of power to weight, a carden anything is not a good place to start. I have a WH 33% 260 with a BME 115, it has the power to weight that you are looking for, but I dont think you will get there with your setup you intend. A good match would be something like an Aerotech 37% edge, just a tad bit bigger than the 35%, but would rock and roll with the 150 and more wing area to help it out in that aspect.
