This is the future of the hobby! I've just started building a 42% Dalton Extra 260 (will start build thread today) and intend to use a 2.4Ghz system with my 9303. Please keep us informed of progress and about dealer information (I am interested).

I'm not surprised by the skepticism, as this will change much of the hobby and even our safety rules of operations at our AMA clubs. I remember when we were switching over to narrow band and people didn't believe it would work. Sure enough, we all got our radios converted or bought new ones. Hell, I remember my dad getting his Kraft converted (I was about 10 years old). Sure enough... it all worked just fine.

It always seems that there are two groups of people in this hobby, those that have less than 5 years experience and those with many more years... many of them are self declared "experts". Those people will never change easily.

For me, this technology keeps the guy with the $100 park flyer (nothing wrong with these), from making a mistake and wrecking my $6-8,000 42%'er!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

I will bet that the Futaba and JR people are watching this thread .
If this works out, it will be one of the best things that ever happened to this hobby.
JR and Futaba could have done this, why it was not done? nobody knows.
The Spektrum people did it partially, why not full blown system?
This is going to push all three and maybe something good will come out, I would love to have that system, I am holding on buying a new JR radio hopping that a radio will be introduced with this new technology.

I was one of the sceptical guys and holding back on this thread. I sent emails wanting to sell this stuff through our GSA IMAC business and had no response. Like a lot of others I thought it was a hoax.

But having meet DK a year or so back and seeing his name involved in this I now beleive.

This is the greatest thing since sliced bread I beleive and I hope to god it can be made to work. Then and only then I hope to see it on the market.

We recently lost a 2.6 Yak due to an error (human) using the old frequency card system. No one was to blame, it was a shared error but this will stop that for ever.

Darcy, if your reading this then I agree your short pants suck mate. You can go to jail in some states for showing that much leg. Drop me a PM dude as I am seriously in need of staying abreast of whats happening with this technology mate. Drop me your work phone number.

I am sorry that you did not get a response. As you might imagine, we are receiving thousands of emails world-wide every week. It is virtually impossible to respond to every email. We are not going to have dealers initially for this product. It is easier for us to control pricing and such.

The system is real. We flew it these weekend in a TREX 600 helicopter. Not that it means much to you guys, but the heli is nearly all carbon fiber. Belt drive helis have severe issues with static electricity being generated by the belt passing down the aluminum tube. Our system performed flawlessly. We have a turbine jet test (all carbon fiber layup) and that really will be the end of our "testing" worst case scenarios. We are pleased at the results.

Yes, there will be versions for the Multiplex radios, Airtronics radios, and the 14MZ/12Z.

I asked this on another forum as well. Do I understand correctly that you have a prototype 14MZ module and that you have actually tested it in the 14MZ TX and it works??

Allan,
Thank you for the word of confidence. Having met Jim and witnessed the system in use and working flawlessly, even improving upon a 1024 spcm system, it just makes me sick to read all the negativity coming from people on other website(s).
I am very happy to see the positive welcome XtremeLink is receiving here on FG.
