Default How to trim your rudder....

I have been having a hell of a time getting my plane trimmed out. Hoe do you guys usually trim your rudder??

If you're checking for yaw... Fly a loop with the plane facing the same direction you are. Best done when there's little wind. Make sure the wings are level. If the plane returns on the bottom of the loop to the left of where it started, add some right trim and do it again until the entry and exit positions are the same. Left trim if it comes back to the right.
If you're looking for knife edge trim where the planes is tucking to the belly or canopy that's a different problem

you also can tell if you roll fast and its not axel..it could be differentel...or rudd

For trimming rudder only, this is what I do:

Establish high speed LEVEL flight, cut the throttle to idle and hold level flight with elevator and ailerons.

Observe if it yaws consistently to one side all the way to stall.

Repeat several times inverted.

If the nose yaws in the same direction add opposite rudder trim.

Flying loops introduces all kinds of other asymetries, so it's hard to pinpoint the true cause of ending up off track.
