Well guys I was wondering something. I have been flying the Sukhoi for almost 4 years. I now currently have a 3W100 in it. It has been in it for about 3 months. I was wondering if I should retire the sukhoi and get a new airframe. I have all digital servos in the plane with match boxes. I was half way thinking that I take all the guts out and put it in a new 100cc Yak. Then take the sukhoi and put the gt80 back in it and put some good regular servos in it just to play around with. Was wondering what is the best yak to get for the 100cc 3w. I was looking at a aeroworks qb or a sominzini. I would rather get the aeroworks since it is QB. what are your opinions on this.

Actually, were I in your shoes, I would keep that plan but instead of a Yak I would take a look at the new 35% Sukhoi offered from Wild Hare. Then you will get the latest technology in a bigger, better, airframe you are already somewhat familiar with.

I second that. WildHare makes some sturdy airframes that fly great. The covering on the new Sukhoi looks killer.

I would definately get the somenzini yak 100cc because it comes with pretty much all the instructions for installing the 3w 100 in it and I've flown one of these and it is a very stable airframe in high alpha and is also a good precision platform as a backup airplane to your 260.

I would go w/ the QB! You can fly it in less than one week...

Oh man.....here we go! There are so many choices out there right now for this size plane. Like the other guys said above , the new WH Sukoi looks extremely impressive. But like what Tony is sayin' , the QB stuff from areoworks are great too. i myself have a 33% AM yak , and am going to get a 100cc airframe within the next couple months also.....so i'm gonna be posting a similar question like this one in about 2 months!!...HA!
Anyways.....hey tony........i saw you respond to that guy the swap pages about possibly picking up a 37.5% AM yak , are you getting it? Jeff |

yea, i picked it up yesterday around noon. It's the 37.5% yak i'm going to use in freestyle and 3D for next season. I had the 30% AM yak, and the quality and everything was good about it so i couldnt miss out on the 37.5% yak from AM.

VERY COOL! yeppers i love the quality on my 33% Am yak. the fit and finish looks really good. I haven't decided on a motor yet , but i'm leaning towards a BME 115. It's a little lighter than the 80cc motor's and has quite a bit more punch. Plus , when i get me 35% here in a few months , i could swap the motor into that plane as well. I like these size planes , so i could end up getting a 3W 106 later also so i can fly both.
Are you going with a DA-150 in that 37.5%? I don't think ron good has finished his 37.5% yet , but i'm sure he'll have it ready for this next spring. I think he said he was gonna set his up with the DA-150 , but you might wanna look at that 3W 157.....that motor is good lookin' , supposed to have a ton of power , and has good reviews from the guys on here. Thanks for the response. I have flew a QQ Yak before and I fell in love with it. Very stable airplane. Im still leaning towards the QB Wondering if flying wise are the two about the same or totally different.
